Sigh. Maybe I should have played Rammus? I don't know. I keep getting teams that won't pick a tank in any position. That leaves up to me to pick something tanky and I don't feel like a bruiser like Vi or Hecarim really count, not come late game anyway. The problem I find with tanks is that they tend to clear slowly opening them up for invades. I dodged Shaco in the early game, but only because I went stragiht for my blue after Red and noticed a ward being placed by him. And tanks aren't tanky until they get some items and their cool downs tend to be long, which makes them even more susceptible to being invaded.
It honestly didn't matter much this game. My team was pretty much losing every lane with only minimal input from Shaco. He just helped snowball their lead once they had it.
Ashe and I started the game out with a kill and assist as while Ashe was walking to lane from Blue Teemo and Sona ambushed her. I flashed over the wall and Mantra + Qd them and Exhausted Teemo. So we had a nice leg up. To start.
So we were doing fine in Bot lane, but I guess Mid and Top were losing? Then we grouped for some fights around dragons and lost them horribly. Then Ashe kept trying to one v one the Teemo. Except you know, a blind, so that didn't pan out very well.
I dunno. Had a pretty good game overall. Went for the more tanky build since I figured people would be in my face. Bot lane was doing pretty well in lane. Mid lane was doing okay. Top lane was...not doing well. I thumped Singed early game to give Shen some breathing room, but it didn't really matter, he just pushed down all the turrets in his lane and then started roaming around to cause trouble elsewhere. We tag teamed him a few times later in the game, but I avoided chasing him around. We would win team fights then Fizz or someone would get a triple kill while we were sieging a turret to take it down. Or one of them would still be alive and full health and then pop in after the fight was over to clean up and we would have to limp away with nothing gained but a few more kills and assists.
I did make two mistakes that were costly. One was using my ult to blow away Caitlyn when we were joking for Baron position. One would think having their ADC dead would be useful in a team fight, but we got our assess handed to us anyway. I should have unloaded into the rest of her team when I had them lined up and we could have dealt with her later. And in another instance I went for Caitlyn under her turret and Fizz respawned about that time. Between the two of them they managed to kill me and I didn't get Caitlyn and the gimpy little siege that Shen and I were trying to put on came to an ignoble end.
I found the sound effects on the Riot Graves skin to be irritating. Mafia Graves sounds much better.
Oy! Every lane losing and calling for help. Started off with like three kills and then died 4 times, though typically adding another kill each time. Warwick is actually pretty disgusting for turret diving. He can tank quite a few turret shots with his damage resistance and the amount of healing he can do. We just kept plugging away at it and eventually started turning skirmishes into our favor.
Standard two buff + wolves clear. Ganked Top and used Red buff to keep Teemo in range to get him low enough to finish off with Smoke Screen.
This build doesn't feel as bursty as the lethality build, but you can evaporate camps once you add in Bloodthirster. Found the shield from it would basically negate a Varus Q.
Honestly I think the changes to Zz'Rot Portal made Singed even more irritating. Now they do so much damage if you can set them up near a turret he can pretty much set up camp in a lane and just run people in circles to keep them off the Zz'Rot and quickly kill turrets leaving him time to go be annoying in other parts of the map. Had a beautiful sneak attack from the rear and pinged my team to go and nothing, no one moves. Given pretty much complete lack of coordination plus being behind this one was going to be difficult to win.
Caitlyn and Katarina were popping off so it was just a matter of helping them win more.
I've been trying to figure out a tank that I enjoy playing. Nautilus isn't the fastest clearer of the jungle, but he isn't horrible at it. He does have quite a few tools for ganking and being useful in teamfights later in the game.
We had trouble with losing skirmishes and then not being able to maintain side lane control, meaning that every time we did gain and advantage we weren't able to get much off of it because we were waiting for minion waves or losing fights because people were off taking care of the minion waves.
Irritating that we weren't able to deal with Master Yi despite having a Nautilus and a Thresh which is quite a bit of lockdown.
Also I don't undertand ADCs wanting to duke it out with Teemo. He has a freaking blind which negates a lot of your damage. Back off and stop taking free autos when you can't retaliate in kind.

Promos so couldn't dodge with just giving up a match. So Evelynn Top vs a Renekton and a silver Aurelion Sol in Mid (not a champion that I would define as easy to play). Evelynn did kill Lee Sin at his red buff that I warded (he did it really late..going for a full clear?). Then she gets ganked once by Lee and then proceeds to get **** on by Renekton like I expected. But it is my fault for not coming up Top more often. Mmmm, no. You got counterpicked by a champion with a double dash and a stun. So she roams and gives up all lane pressure Top to pick up a few kills. Great. A free farming capable of roaming Renekton. Asol got **** on in Mid and Twisted Fate **** on our Bot lane with his ult. Champion select was more of a problem than what I was doing.
