Thanks to Janitsu for the sig!
Haven't played Pantheon yet, but I've seen quite a lot of him. Updated splash arts look great. The in-game model appears odd to me though. Less cartoonish? than the direction they have been making the game? Not quite sure, but he stands out on the fountain when you are loading in. I think the model is taller than typical? He seems a bit hit or miss, but that may be due to the people piloting him.
Okay, update after playing three games on Pantheon in the jungle. His clear is okay. Would like to be a little healthier after a four camp clear (Red, Wolves, Blue, Gromp...may need to do the raptor trick to top yourself off before heading to blue side. Or just take the three camps on red side).
Early ganks are okay. Though it is nice to leave your passive at four stacks us your e to stun them and then Q them when they run or flash away.
I feel like he is more interesting to play, but the only part of his kit that feels really good is the execute damage on his Q. Everything else feels kind of weak. Honorable mention to his E, Aegis Assault, which is conditionally quite powerful.
Hit ult feels like doo-doo after the 25 minute mark. You use it to go in and you just die before your team can catch up. Still haven't quite figured out to best orient either for maximum effect. At that point in the game you best bet is probably to turn into a peeler for your carries. and hope they don't have more than one diver.
Kindred just flat takes a dump on Pantheon. Not even a contest.

In game models for Pantheon are a work of art (only two I haven't played as, yet). Mordekaiser got shafted in comparison.
You can clear Red, Krugs, Raptors, and it helps you stay healthy enough to do a full clear, but it takes forever to do those three camps. Literally Scuttles will be within 20secs (turning yellow) of spawning by the time you get to the blue side of your jungle.
For lane I think you would need to start Corrupting Potion because without it you burn through 3 quarters of your mana with a full rotation of your spells. I went oom quickly holding a lane against a Riven with only my jungle item, which doesn't give you mana sustain outside of the jungle.

Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 9.16!
The highlight of this patch is the rework of Pantheon, the Spartan warrior who from now on will shoulder the title "The Unbreakable Spear". While his new kit has remained similar to the old one (much like when Riot reworked Mordekaiser), notable changes have been made. For example, his new passive ( Mortal Will) no longer blocks attacks or turret shots periodically, but will now empower his own basic abilities instead. Furthermore, his new E ( Aegis Assault) now blocks any damage from the direction he is facing in addition to wildly stabbing at his enemies, while his updated ultimate ( Grand Starfall) deals damage to enemies in a wide line instead of a large circle.
Apart from the Pantheon update, patch 9.16 also includes balance changes to a notable amount of champions, along with a nerf to the Biscuit Delivery rune and the addition of a new Udyr skin as well as a Rammus skin which can be obtained through Hextech Crafting.
As always, be sure to check out the full patch notes for details on any changes that interest you (or, if you're a Teamfight Tactics player, click here for the 9.16 patch notes for TFT).
