Urgot is ranged, so he can easily farm. He has some of the best poking tools as well and is really dangerous to face.

I enjoy taking him top since their is no enemy support to heal off your ranged poke. He can shut down alot of the usual champs that go top. If you push the enemy turret and their jungler comes up behind you you can always use Urgot's ult. as an escape

Neither does
Darius, and Urgot actually has 'sustain' through his shield. Also, Urgot bullies his lane so hard and can counterbuild easily with Frozen Heart.
I like to call it "sustain -" vs "sustain +". The difference being that "sustain -" is merely shielding or high natural resistance and "sustain +" is healing or lifesteal/spellvamp. I like Galio because he has both in the same ability. :P

So much melee up top just says, "bring a badass harassing champion up here and eat my face off" just like taking AP mid says, "please destroy me with Kassadin or Galio."
People just need to learn to adapt, instead of entering insta "ZOMG TROLL REPORT KILL WITH FIRE I GO AFK NOW". My best Twisted Fate ranked game was when I "secretly" went On-Hit TF versus a Kassadin mid. Bot lane saw my Doran's blade, immediately said "ZOMG REPORT". Then I got first-blood and carried the game.
