He can iniciate, deal %hp damage, deal grievous wounds, has decent range for poke and harass, probably not something other adc's can do. Ez just has a free "out of jail" card and a stupid earlygame. besides that, he's not that much.
Sure his Ultimate is realy n1 in tf but i dont get it why Graves is not played.
I feel a lot more comfortable with a escape/chase skill.
Vayne makes tones of dmg too but nobody wants her.
I understand the reason why he is picked so often, but dont feel like he is not so strong or so much more as the other.
They play bo5 and pick him everytime...

this whole post is the reason i don't like to tier stuff. If you manage to strategize and play accordingly, every pick has its purpose.
vayne just stomps lategames as long as she is allowed and allows herself to deal damage, doesn't matter how much hp the enemy team stacks.
graves is decent for burst backline damage even if he doesn't AA (much like a Bullet Time bot. Not to mention he can be a pain to kill, Buckshot and Collateral Damage deal a lot of damage. he usually allows 3 champions in his team to not care about him and destroy the enemy backline.
Caitlyn, Draven and Varus have stupid earlygame damage and poke, which is preferred due to current fast paced games with early map objectives.

Vayne wasn't played that much this season
Graves is not played for a number of reasons. He has a range problem, and he doesn't kill tanks particularly well. He's almost an AD caster so he's in a weird position where Bloodthirster is the ideal option but he also needs Blade of the Ruined King to kill tanks. He's in a weird in between spot.
as for the reason Varus is played,
he's got strong laning, good poke, and great utility: he's one of the few ADC's that can engage. The thing he was lacking in season 2 was mobility (and he still is) but champions all got a base movement speed increase which helped AD's without an escape alot. I still think his late game is mediocre/subpar and he still doesn't have alot of mobility, but he does so many other things really well.
Thanks for the Signature MissMaw!
If only they gave Graves more range...he deals stupid amounts of damage once hes close to the target which for ADCs is the hard thing to do, keeping him at distance he is beaten easily by any top tier ADC
Gave you a good laugh or helped? rep+ so i can know ;)
Thanks to TinyStar, Jhoi, Xiaowi, Virus, Bard and Arcana(eww)...for my signatures!
Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.

i looked a few games of the LCS 2013 EU Promotion and i dont understand why they play so often Varus.
I mean a Ezreal is awesome, no question, but Varus ? I dont understand it, there are so many other ADC Champs that are good as Varus or better imo.
So can Somebody tell me the reason that Varus get picked so often ?
