Runes

There are 2 ways you can go with akali, Precision for the attack speed, tenacity and dps or Domination for the single target burst. First Domination, the goto page for assassin akali:

Dark Harvest: This is my go to keystone on akali. It has amazing synergy with her kit and there is nothing that can compare to its late game damage among runes. The trade off is that it sucks before ~20 minutes in.

Electrocute: This is the usual go to keystone with akali, it is strong at all stages of the game, especially in lane.

Domination Rune

Sudden Impact: You get both lethality and magic pen, this means your autos and abilities do more damage, especially against squishies.

Eyeball Collection: This rune will give you more ability power or physical damage, adaptive, per kill/assist/ward kill to a cap of 20 stacks. Very nice ap boost late game.

Ravenous Hunter: Heal off of damage dealt by abilities, healing gains a boost for every unique champion take down. Gose amazing with Akalis kit and hextech gunblade.

The second rune page is the one I recommend if your building any sort of resists and hp on akali, Precision primary:

Conqueror: This is the only Precision keystone I take because of the 20% true damage and the fact it it refreshes on every auto after it procs. The fact 20% of your damage ignores resists is extremely useful against any champion but especially tanks.

Triumph: The synergy this has with Akali's kill -> reset playstyle should make this the only rune you take in this category, especially with one giving you mana and the other a small overheal.

Legend: Tenacity: This will give you a total of 30% tenacity when stacked, with merc treads that's a total of 51% tenacity. This means that ALL crowd control will only hit you for half the time. Very useful to survive and escape or kill that Ashe with a Braum support.

Coup de Grace: This rune will amplify your damage against targets bellow 40%hp by 7%. This is an amazing rune to help kill squishies and give that extra bit of damage against tanks.

Your secondary rune page should always be Sorcery due to the adaptive ap it gives you and the following 2 amazing runes:

Sorcery Rune

Celerity: As akali your job is to chase down squishies, kill them and try to escape alive. This rune helps with all 3. It gives you 3% bonus movement speed and turns 8% of your bonus movement speed into adaptive ad or ap. My favorite rune probably =)

Sorcery Rune

Gathering Storm: At 10 minutes this rune gives 8 ap, 20 minutes this rune gives you 24 ap and it only keeps ramping up. My games tend to last to 40 minutes meaning 80 ap. Why wouldn't you get this amazing rune?
