Ezreal's story

Ezreal was born with the gift of magic flowing through his veins. Ezreal, however, was also born with a much stronger sense of wanderlust. Put into school to become a skilled techmaturgist, Ezreal quickly became bored with magical studies. By the time the boy genius was eight years old, he had fully mapped out the underground tunnels of Piltover. The quality of his work was so great that the government of Piltover purchased his maps and salaried his services as Piltover's Grandmaster Explorer. This sealed the deal on Ezreal's path in life - he would eschew the arcane arts in favor of archaeology. Since then, countless of Ezreal's adventures have been written about as romanticized stories.

One of Ezreal's latest adventures, however, has brought him face-to-face with his other legacy - his latent magical power. While exploring the pyramids of Shurima Desert, Ezreal uncovered an amulet of incredible power. Aside from the sheer size of the amulet (it was made for a being easily twice Ezreal's size), it allows the wielder to control and shape magical energy - provided a source of magic is in the vicinity. This allowed Ezreal to tap into his natural talent for magic without having to put any serious effort into it - a big win for the Prodigal Explorer. The drawback is that for some unknown reason, the amulet is attuned with summoning magic. Without warning, Ezreal may find himself acting as a champion for, as he puts it, ''a summoner hell-bent on resolving some irrelevant world-shattering League conflict.'' Still, Ezreal feels being summoned into a Field of Justice on occasion is a small price to pay.

''There's little time to study musty tomes when you're busy crawling around where the musty tomes originally came from.'' Such is Ezreal's credo.

Abilities

Mystic Shot (Q):

A good skill for AD Ezreal. This skill is only good on AP Ezreal lategame due to Lich Bane. You shouldn't use it early game, perhaps for cooldowns only.
Your Mystic Shot is very useful if you have to escape. Just harass with Mystic Shot and get your Arcane Shift off cooldown.


Essence Flux (W):

This is your bread and butter skill on Ezreal. It scales good with AP and has amazing damage!
It doesn't hit minions so it's pretty easy to aim. Once your Essence Flux is level 2 your damazing is amazing with it!



Arcane Shift (E):

An amazing skill. Has great damage. You can easily escape fights or ganks and you can also use it to start a fight. Overall an awesome skill. Together with Flash you can easily escape.




Trueshot Barrage (Ultimate):


This is what makes ezreal ezreal. An awesome ultimate. In my opinion one of the most fun ultimates in the game. You can deal tons of damage with it and it is multi target. It is great for finishing and great for teamfights. Always keep an eye out at other lanes. If there's someone around 250 HP or lower. Always snipe them.

Tip: Alot of people recall a little behind their turret. (If their lane is not pushed too hard). Try to snipe your Trueshot Barrage a bit behind the turret.

Full AP Build

I start off with a Doran's Ring because of the awesome stats it is giving (Health, AP and mana regen). The 100 health is very useful on Ezreal because he is so squishy.

After I'm going for a Tear of the Goddess. This is because AP Ezreal needs to spam his skills and just a Doran's Ring isn't enough for Ezreal.

Then I'm going for a Mejai's Soulstealer. If you're experienced with Ezreal and you can aim his Trueshot Barrage well, you will have a good score and much assists every game. Because of your Trueshot Barrage and Essence Flux you will have alot of assists, which is great with a Mejai's Soulstealer.

After a Mejai's Soulstealer grab a Rabadon's Deathcap. It gives Amazing AP and the passive is very nice!

Then I'm going for a Lich Bane. At that time your Mystic Shot will deal tons of damage. At that time you'll have around 400 AP so your Mystic Shot will deal around 700 damage.

As final item I grab a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. It makes Ezreal a bit less squishy and the passive of Rylai's Crystal Scepter is pretty good with Ezreal's skills.

Full AP Second build

This is an AP build for new Ezreal players. It's with Will of the Ancients so you will stay in lane longer and and it's a little more tanky late-game.
I'd still recommend the first AP build because you will burst people so hard, and you will be more useful in teamfights.

I wouldn't recommend AP Ezreal on new Ezreal players, but if you want to try this, go ahead! If so, I'd recommend this build.

Tanky build

This is a moretanky build on Ezreal. I use it very often either if our team isn't having much (off)tanks or if I'm doing bad myself. I'd recommend the Full AP build!
