Keeper of the ancient art of Wuju, Master Yi is a mystical warrior from the isle of Ionia. He descended from one of the few tribes dedicated to the preservation of Wuju, a martial art founded with the principles of absolute spiritual awareness of one's self and one's enemy. When the armies of Noxus invaded Ionia, Master Yi joined in the Ionian defense to fight the craven enemy, bringing his village honor through his unparalleled mastery of the blade. The ensuing battles ravaged the land, but no conflict inflicted as much horror as the day the armies of Noxus closed in on Yi's village. Left undefended, the village became the unfortunate test subject of the latest invention by an up-and-coming chemist, now known as Singed. The remains of the village that Master Yi returned to were so horrific that it remains a festering scar on Ionian history. To this day, no Ionian will ever publicly speak of what occurred.

After the Noxian invasion was contained, Master Yi fell into a deep isolation. For years, he trained morning to night, speaking to no one and refusing offers of consolation by fellow Ionians. The only thing stopping him from madly charging into Noxus battle lines headfirst was his pledge to keep the Wuju style alive. Even though he seethed with impatience, his rage became a tool for sharpening his practice of Wuju, developing stronger and deadlier skills for his eventual vengeance. The only thing that roused him was news of the League's formation, and Noxus's subsequent enrollment in the League. Master Yi now brings his mastery of the blade to the League of Legends with unflinching purpose: to avenge his kinfolk and end the predations of the Noxus once and for all.

Goggles from the InventorEdit

The goggles Master Yi wears are a techmaturgical device that was gifted to the champion by Piltover's own Heimerdinger, the Revered Inventor. Master Yi first used these goggles when defending his homeland from Noxus invaders in the time after the League has just formed and before Ionia had affiliated itself with the League. The goggles are fitted specifically for Master Yi; while someone else may wear them, they won't receive anywhere near the same benefit as he does himself.

The one-of-a-kind goggles, known as the "Seven Lenses of Insight", allow Master Yi to see across a wider range of the spectrum than normal people see. They also give him abilities not dissimilar to that of real world binoculars and telescopes. The goggles are synced to Yi's own magical resonance, allowing him to adjust settings without the use of his hands. He simply thinks what he needs, and the goggles act accordingly.

Early game:

Note since the new jungle this path may be harder or easier. (need approve)



Buy Vampric-Scepter.
Start with the usual two small golems.Q in and Smite the first one down. Auto attack the other.
You should have leveled so get Meditate.
then go to thew wolf encampment.
Use your w first,
Alpha Strike and dps them down.
Now your Smite should be off cooldown, go to the wraith encampment. alpha jump in and Smite the wraithDps the other down.Now you should have 450g, pill to the fountain.
Buy Cloth armour.
Go back and do the same route but don't use Smite this time.
Now use you w if your low on health.
Then get the red (elder lizard.) Alpha Strike Smite then dps him down.
Now you can go back or gank mid.
If you go back finish Madred's razors,
then repeat the route but do the golum last.

Mid game:


You should gank where ether your needed.
Try to farm creeps and backdoor if its needed.

Late game:

Since yi is a very poor team player, it is best to backdoor and try to take out there nexus that way.If you are forced to be in a group, you should focus on targets like

1. Ashe
2. Karthus
3. Caitlyn

Don't attack these unless the others are dead.

1. Shen
2. Mordekaiser
3. Garen

It helps farming faster killing faster and especially Jungling faster.

Helps in farming faster.

faster attack speed

= death and faster jungling

Helps with the pushing.

More crit faster kills.

Weapon Expertise
This will make you dps a tank down just as fast as a ad carry.

Havoc
Sane as Brute Force.

Lethality
10% more crit means ganking becomes easier.

Vampirism
Less Meditate more mana.

Sunder
Tank killer.

Executioner
Now this makes tower diving easy since it gives 40% more damage to low health targets.

Gives a great 60 (+40) damage and 10% live steal (+ 10%)
Great for the damage it gives and i love it.

- Phantom Dancer

Yi is all about attack speed, this is the best item for him. The attack speed boost on this item is amazing.Plus that 15% move speed is awesome.

- Frozen Mallet

Yi has little to no cc , but with this item you will get a good slow, that helps allot.

Jungle Items

- Wriggle's Lantern

gives 450 bonus damage on minions and monsters. Essential to all junglers. And gives a free ward.

Best ganking bushes is usualy the one at the entrance of the lane. (Note it is usually warded.)
Charge in with R and dish damage out if he/she is getting away pop Q.

Why Not Use Q? At Start.

Cause of yo use it at the start of the gank you'll have no method to finish a escaping player.

Double Strike
Good for 'dat' lucky strike and can finish monsters quickly.

Now this is what makes Master Yi so special.More of a gap closer then a initiator in my opinion.Great for ganking and farming creeps since it deals allot of damage to them even at level 1.

Great sustain in the jungle, and can be used in team fights since it gives a HUGE boost in defense and magic resist.

A chase and Escape in one. Its just wonderfull.
(cool fact: With 5 phantom dancers and boots of mobility and this activated will give a nice 840 movement speed.)
