Threats to Miss Fortune with this build
|Xerath||This is a huge skill matchup. If you dodge his abilites, you can farm and not die in lane. Be vary careful when you ult around him since he is able to cc you out of it.|
|Annie||Annie can be troublesome if you are close enough for her to burst you. If she isn't then you can kite her with your e and movement speed and ult her down.|

Hello, i'm summoner DarkKurisu, and this is my guide for ap mf. I've always enjoyed mid laners whose job is to deliver tons of aoe damage. When I started playing ap mf I thought it was very fun and was impressed by the damage she could do to a team. I decided to make this guide to help people understand ap mf better and to help anyone out that might want to try it.
Pros / Cons
-Huge aoe damage
-good constant mobility with Strut
-mixed damage makes it hard to build against her
-keeps her high damage late game
-no hard cc
-no escape or gap closer
-has to position well
Expose Weakness -This mastery will combo with your aoe damage, letting your teammates do extra damage off of it.
Arcane Blade -Lets ap mf do more damage with her q and auto attacks. Also combos with her w to give her even more magic damage per hit.
Havoc -Great for any damage dealer. This mastery will let you do even more damage and be helpful to your team.
Summoner's Insight -Summoner spells are very important and can easily mean the difference between life or death. I find its best to have them up as quickly as possible.
Runic Affinity -In the longer pushes your wave clear and ulti will be very useful. Having the mana to use them and the cooldown reduction to have them up faster, is very important.
Strength of Spirit -Helps mf sustain a little bit, though it wont be a huge difference, every little bit helps.
-Flash is essential on most character, including mf. With this spell you can jump over walls to escape or just in a direction to get some distance. It can also be used in offensive ways. I use this spell a lot to hit a fleeing enemy with Make it Rain.
-Ignite is the second summoner spell I always take on miss fortune. Ignite lets me get kills easier. The healing reduction a long with mf's Impure Shots will ensure that an enemy has a hard time sustaining.
-Teleport is the spell to take if you want to either get back to lane quicker or to help out teammates easier around the map. This is great for very hard lanes, and if used correctly can win games.
-Heal is also for hard lanes and can assist in helping you catch fleeing enemies. It can also be used to help out allies with the aoe effect. Since a lot of people in the mid lane take ignite, I usually dont take it. Though it can be very useful in certain situations.
against ap mid
Mark of Hybrid Penetration-This rune well allow you to do more magic and physical damage. It will stack with any other penetration items in your build, letting you do even more damage.
Seal of Scaling Ability Power-Will give you more ability power the higher level you get. A rune that will scale into mid and late game well.
Glyph of Magic Resist-Gives magic resist so you don't get bursted fast by magic damage dealers. A must have again ap mids.
Quintessence of Ability Power-Gives good starting ap, helping you early game to do more damage with your abilites.
against ad mid
Seal of Armor-A must have against ad mids. Will help you not to get bursted down by physical damage.
Glyph of Scaling Ability Power- What I take when my seals are for armor. This helps you scaling into mid and let game.
Lich Bane-This item alone makes ap mf's Double Up viable and is what makes it scale into late game. The movement speed from this item will combo with mf's Strut, making her very fast and hard to catch.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity-These boots are very important for casting your spells. Since your cooldowns can be long these boots help a lot. Since ap mf also deals a lot of physical damage, she doesn't need the mr pen boots as much as other mids would. These boots along with alacrity, Lich Bane, and Strut will make you very fast.
Liandry's Torment-my second favorite item on ap mf right behind lich bane. Liandrys will make your Make it Rain so much deadlier, since your e is a slow, the damage on liandrys will be increased. The penetration will help your lack of mr pen boots and the health will make it harder for you to get killed.
Rabadon's Deathcap-This item is very important for an ability power stacking character. I like to get it after I have a couple ability power items since the percentage boost to ap is increased with the more ap you have.
Void Staff-Void staff will give ap and the magic pen will make your Make it Rain deadlier. So it will make all your abilities stronger and is a great item for any magic damage dealer.
Zhonya's Hourglass-An amazing item, and its even better if you know how to properly use the passive. Gives armor, a lot of ability power, and its passive will make you go invulnerable for a short amount of time. With this item, you can prevent assassinations and make good escapes.
other good items
Athene's Unholy Grail-An item for if you are having trouble with mana issues. Also helps against ability power based characters with its mr. Its cooldown reduction also works well with ap mf, allowing you to use your abilities more often.
Guinsoo's Rageblade-This item was better, back when ap mf scaled with her w. Since this is no longer the case, it has lost a lot of its charm. However, it can still be deadly if used correctly.
Nashor's Tooth-This item can combo well with mf's abilities, and the cooldown reduction is also very helpful. I'm not a big fan of this item though, because I feel like getting liandrys instead of this item will help your team more and give you even more aoe damage.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter-This item helps if you need more health and its passive is good. The passive will combo will your ult and e, making it much hard for enemies to escape your combo.
Hextech Gunblade-This can be used to greater assist your hybrid moveset. Though I liked this item more when ap mf was more auto attack based. It could still be used now, but wont be as good on ap mf.
The Black Cleaver-Since your q and r are physical damage, you could get this if the enemy is stacking armor, and your damage will increase. I usually dont have a problem with enemies armor, even late game, but this item does have its place.
-A fun passive in my opinion. With this, you can move around the map fairly quickly. The true fun however comes when you stack it with other movement speed increasing abilities and items for huge speeds.
-I always max this ability first on ap mf. This ability is amazing for damage if you can get an enemy to stand in it long enough and it is amazing at clearing waves. Once this ability hits full level or if you have enough ability power when its level four, this ability will kill the magic minions. With this you can farm in lane much easier. Once you have liandrys, Make it Rain becomes deadlier and really starts to hurt.
-I take a level first in double up to help me get last hit easier and to poke enemies. This ability in my opinion doesn't really shine until you get lich bane. With lich bane this ability will chunk enemies and is very handy at constantly applying the lich bane passive.
-I take this first at level four and max it last. Since this ability no longer scales with ap, it lost a lot of its charm on ap mf. However, the healing reduction, attack speed, and damage added to your ultimate shouldn't be ignored. Remember to always activate this ability when pushing towers.
-One of my favorite ultimates in the game. With this and good positioning, you can win a teamfight for you and your team. Try to put down your e before using this ability, to reduce the change of enemies getting to you. Another great use of this ability is how good it can be at killing fleeing enemies. It can be used in 1v1s but this can be hard to do, depending on who you are fighting.
Ap mf is a aoe teamfighter, so communication with teammates is a must. In teamfights e a group of enemies and then ult once you are in a good position. Use your e to help you and your allies catch fleeing enemies. Above all though is to remember that you need good positioning. Don't over extend, and unless you absolutely have to, don't walk out in front of your team.
