Introduction To Corki

Hello guys this is my first time writing a guide here so please excuse me if there are any mistakes. First thing you need to know about Corki is that you can make enemy suffer hard from you if you play him right. Corki fits best to a team with ad mid laner because of his ap skills and it will cover your teams lack of ap.

Pros&Cons

Pros
+Powerful Laning Phase
+Powerful Mid Game
+So Strong Poke
Cons
-Bad late game scaling compared to hypercarries
-Reliant on hitting the Trinity Force power spike

Summoner Spells

+ (Recommended)
+ (Situational)
You will go Flash+ Heal in most of the cases when your support takes ignite or exhaust of course. If support does take Heal then you will pick. Barrier

Masteries

21/9/0 with Expose Weakness is a must on Corki since you can proc it so easily and it increases your own damage. Spell Weaving and Blade Weaving are better than Frenzy / Warlord because of how easily you can activate them. Don't go for Frenzy at all when you are playing a champ with Trinity Force.

Runes

Attack damage runes gives you very strong stats on early game and are more efficient than other runes.
Armor runes are very useful specially in the early game because you are going to take a lot of damage from minions and basic attacks.
Magic resist runes will help you minimize the damage from their support and in some cases early gangs from their mid laner.
Mana regeneration runes will help you poke with skills and still stand on lane without going base and make enemy go to base to take advantage of experience.
Attack speed quints is a good mix for you when combined with attack damage runes.
1.5% Life steal from runes 3% life steal from doran's and 0,99 mana reg from runes. What else a carry would need more than this?

Abilities

(Passive) Hextech Shrapnel Shells

This spell stacks perfectly with your Sheen.

(Q) Phosphorus Bomb

This is your main harass skill. Max it first no matter what.

(W) Valkyrie

This is your only mobility skill so think carefully when to use as escape skill or as gap closer.

(E) Gatling Gun

This your secret in fights. The longer the fight goes on the longer the skill will shred enemy armor. Max it second.

(R) Missile Barrage

This is your most important skill. It pokes enemy team so hard thank to every 3rd Big Missile.

Skilling Orders

In most of the cases you are going to start with Phosphorus Bomb in case that you don't need to escape at jungle protection. At level 2 level up Valkyrie just to be safe. At level 3 I recommend to level up Gatling Gun just to ensure higher damage on longer trades.

Items

Early Game

Start With: Doran's Blade, Health Potion, Stealth Ward
First Back;
1300+gold: Sheen, 2x Health Potion, 1x Mana Potion
1300-gold: Sapphire Crystal, Amplifying Tome, Health Potion, Mana Potion
Basically take healing potions at every back based on how much you are being harassed and a mana potion to harass hard.

Mid Game

Once you buy Sheen and you can afford Phage after it, rush Trinity Force and follow it with Sorcerer's Shoes. After it I recommend to buy vampiric rage and then go for Infinity Edge.

Late Game

After completing Infinity Edge go directly for Bloodthirster if you are not under pressure of high ap damage from enemy mid laner. If so then go for Mercurial Scimitar and then Bloodthirster. After those buy Last Whisper as your 4th or 5th item and don't forget your elixir.

How to Corki

Early Game

Corki is a strong laner in the early game thanks to his Phosphorus Bomb. He works perfectly with harassing supports and specially with Leona cause she has high damage burst. After hitting level 6 you will be able to sit back and farm easy and the most important you won't let enemy team take dragon easily thanks to Missile Barrage.

Mid Game

Mid game is your butter and bread. After completing Trinity Force you will be able to poke enemy team so hard, farm easy and most important you will be able to take kills thanks to sheen effect stacking perfectly with your passive.

Late Game

As the game moves on your power won't be effective like it was in mid game but you will still be able to poke enemy team with your ultimate skill. Remember to use your Gatling Gun when enemy tank sticks to you and try to take good position in team fights. If you take good position in fights you will be able to gather most of the kills.
