Hi I'm KingTrap2 from the NA server and I main Azir. I currently have over 100 ranked games of Azir and I've learned a lot about playing him since.

When I first started playing him it was primarily in ranked team. My friends knew I sucked on Azir and told me not to play him and I would almost always get solo killed on him. When we looked at my stats on Azir on ranked team we were all shocked because my landing sucked but my team fighting was good so we actually had the highest win rate when I was on Azir. When I started to spam solo q or duo q in silver I would force myself to play Azir and something just clicked in my brain and I just constantly climbed on Azir. I basically would play him the entire day and maybe a yasuo or zed game once or twice.

I would pick Azir and basically every matchup especially against a Rengar. There are only a few problems with that in ranked. Azir normally needs good communication to play around so unless you know how to play Azir properly don't play him in solo q. Azir is great in dynamic q so pick him whenever possible.

Azir has a high skill cap, so he is quite difficult to play at first. Getting a mana regen item like morello's instead of a nashor's helps a lot because new Azir players tend to find him really mana hungry like me. Even with the item sometimes you will still go oom so it's best if you don't use your E at all unless you have blue buff or you are in a fight. Nashors is harder to use because it gives so much attack speed and feels weird to attach when you're new to Azir so I didn't use it until the end of Season 5. Also I wouldn't recommend ignite at all.

Laning
Play passive, people say your range is really helpful but you are still susceptible to ganks. Just try and cs but make sure you always have at least 1 soldier available to escape ganks. It's best to rely on csing without soldiers to prevent the wave from pushing. If you want to get solo kills just let enemy laner push and if you're lucky they'll be dumb to go under tower or near tower for you to shurima shuffle.

Teamfighting
Shurima shuffles aren't good to use in team fights because your E is easy to stop. Before fighting you want to poke them and hopefully damage the enemy carries. You shouldn't be the one engaging unless its a skirmish. Your rylais can help keep people away from you along with your ult. Fighting in the jungle feels amazing on Azir.
