The healing from minions makes him annoying in lane. When he has passive, do your best to get rid of it without ulting, and try to fight him pre 6 since thats when he is weakest.
Darius
Very Skill based. Freeze the lane as best you can, and watch for ganks. Be sure to note what ability he gets second. If he goes for Crippling Strike, go in at level 2 since you have armor pen and a way to drag him back if he tries to wimp out and leave. Watch for prime ulting times, and heal as much as you can.
Dr. Mundo
Mundo heals. A lot. He will probably try to farm with his Cleavers, which makes it very hard to hit him. When you can, drag him into the minions and all-in him before level 6.
Fiora
Fiora is by far the worst match up for Darius. She can end his ult and keep him away from the minions with her dash. When you decide to go in on her, ask for help from the jungler to start, and try to get her as low on mana as you can. When she ults you, try your best to run away as the constant damage from all sides will get you low, and since shes right next to you, you wont be healing much.
Gangplank
Very Easy lane. Watch out for barrels in bushes and punish him for trying to farm those silver serpents.
Garen
In order to keep him from healing back everything you do to him, apply about 3 stacks of Hemorrhage to keep him bleeding for a while, and Decimate him from a distance when he farms. When you go in, save your Apprehend for when he tries to q away.
Gnar
Gnar can kite you away very well, so be careful when he is in Mini-Gnar. Once in Mega-Gnar, dodge his initial E and you should be able to keep him close to do what you need to.
Illaoi
Tentacles are bad for the lane. Exterminate them as fast as you can, and if she pulls your soul away, try to scare her away to avoid the curse. Her healing from the tentacle damage shouldn't help her much with your Hemorrhage, but be aware that it is there.
Irelia
Irelia can stun you when you try to fight her, so only go in when she jumps on you to fight. Keep her slowed with the Crippling Strike, and Apprehend her when she runs away after she stuns you down. Get an early gank to get ahead, and you should be fine.
Jax
Sure Jax can block a few autos, but when that is down, all in him. Pull him back when he tries to run, and keep him oppressed in lane. Once he gets Guinsoo's, stay a bit safer as his damage output will have gone up.
Jayce
When in mele mode, constantly pull him to you to it's a fair fight. When he is in ranged mode, stay in the minions and try to avoid the cannon shots, but still fight him since he is relatively squishy.
Kennen
Kennen can stun and keep you at bay later in the game, but in lane, you should try to fight him and get fed from his every mistake. If he over extends, don't be afraid to Apprehend him and go all-in. Later on, get tenacity to stay in the fight for as much time as possible.
Malphite
Armor isn't a problem for Darius. Don't let this stoner scare you away, go in before he hits 6 because he has no escape. You may want to put an extra point into Apprehend for the extra Armor Pen, but it isn't needed.
Nasus
What is a pup to do without farm? When he goes to last hit, pull him in for a warm hug and punish him for being a bad Doge.
Olaf
True damage burst and an ultimate that prevents all CC sounds horrible right? Well not really since you can heal off of him and by the time he actually ults, he should be right next to you with 3-4 Hemorrhage stacks already. Just watch for the tankiness late game and fight him when you can in lane.
Pantheon
Pantheon can poke you can can block your Crippling Strike. When you fight him, make sure you can kill him without interruption from a meddling mid or jungler. Heal to negate the effect of his spears, but stay passive in lane to avoid unwanted fights.
Poppy
Poppy has no way to really combat Darius other than sheer tankiness. Darius has no dash, and if she e's into you, she's basically giving you the gift of a kill. Just watch for her ult in team fights since she can get you out and keep you from any Dunking.
Renekton
Renekton has a lot of damage and CC to keep you at bay in lane. He can dash away, so save your Apprehend for when he tries to run away. Be careful when you ult because he can ult himself to gain the health to stop you from ulting the rest of the fight.
Riven
Riven is a lot like Renekton in terms of fighting. She can stun and dash away from any engages you do. Save your ult for when she has 5 stacks, no less, and execute her if possible.
Rumble
Rumble sucks to lane against. He can burn you if you go to farm, and can slow you when you try to run away. He will burn you and separate you from your team in fights. Try to fight him between 2-4 because that's the window where you get a pretty big damage spike.
Shen
The updated Shen has a W that block all Auto Attacks in a small zone. This zone stops the damage, but more importantly, will stop you from applying Hemorrhage onto enemies. When his W is down, try to initiate with your Apprehend, and do as much damage as you can. Don't go all-in on him just because he can taunt and heal a lot, but instead apply a few stacks and back up to try again.
Sion
Sion can be really annoying since by simply farming he gains permanent health. Try to pressure him out of lane and fight him when you can. He may be tanky, but even if you can kill him, he will bleed out.
Tahm Kench
Tahm is horrible to play against. He can do percent health to you,and his Grey Health saves him from so many deserved kills. When playing against Tahm, fight him early. It is that simple. If you get ahead early, you can abuse him all you want, but if you go even or fall behind, play passive.
Teemo
This is relatively easy. Decimate from a distance and when he blinds you, just wait until it goes away to actually fight.
Tryndamere
Tryn heal a majority of the damage you deal to him, and his ultimate can save him from yours if he times it well. Try not to ult him unless you are sure his ult is down. In lane, poke him with Decimate and pull him in to fight you.
Vladimir
Vladimir has a strong late game, but a meh early game. If you can fight him before level 5, then it will end up working out in your favor. Be careful of the pool though, because it will cancel your Noxian Guillotine and stop you from dunking the rest of the fight.

In Lane
In Lane
While you're in lane with Darius, it is important to keep vision a priority. Get a pink ward and always watch the map, and a gank could either feed or end you. Freezing the lane is a typical move for any top laner, but don't be afraid to push the lane when you can. Watch for opportunities to get a lead on your opponent, either by Teleporting to another lane for kills or killing them if they make a mistake.
Late Game
Late Game
Darius has very high damage output, even when played as a tank. Be sure to watch for possible executions with your ultimate as it will make teamfighting much easier for you. Roam to lanes who need help, and push turrets when possible. I still highly recommend the vision on Darius. Seeing an enemy going through your jungle could get you a kill, or even save your life. Group when you're needed, but split when you can.

This is a simple TL~DR on his abilities and ways to use them to maximum potential.
Hemorrhage- stacks bleeding on them, dealing damage over time. Makes ult do more damage. More Speed for each enemy with blood. Once a champ has 5 stack, go berserk and apply 5 stacks every auto and/or ability
Decimate- Heals if an enemy champ is hit with the blade of the axe. Only applies Hemorrhage if they are hit with the blade
Crippling Strike- Auto Attack reset. Slows by more percent based on how many Hemorrhage stacks are on them
Apprehend- Passive Armor Pen and a pull for enemies. Gives Vision if used in a blind area.
Noxian Guillotine- The Dunk Move. More damage based on how many stacks of Hemorrhage they have. At 16, it costs 0 mana and resets the CD if it kills. Until then, resets for a few seconds if it kills, and only the initial activation costs mana.
Combo- Auto, Q, E, Auto, W, Q, R
Pros/Cons of Darius
Pros/Cons of Darius
Darius has great team fight since he can kill the entire enemy team with one good ultimate. His lane phase is relatively easy since you can heal off of enemy champions with your Decimate. He can build straight tank and still take down anyone in his path.
Darius does require 5 stacks on an enemy champion to become a true monster. It is kinda hard to get to that stage, but when it happens it works well for you. He doesn't have any escape, relying on a heal to get him out of situations.
