Lucian is a very strong adc in the early-mid game and with certain builds late game aswell. he has a few tools to do strong damage like his Piercing Light and Lightslinger which makes cdr strong on Lucian. He has very good kite potential with his Relentless Pursuit and Ardent Blaze. |

some of the negatives of Lucian is his short range and low damage compared to other hyper carries. This can make late game teamfighting a bit of a pain and downside. Lucian also has some high mana costs. |

Fervor of Battle
as it synergizes amazingly well with Lucian as his passive activates it twice and allows for a lot of extra damage. For our second tree we go into resolve to get added survability for trades and teamfighting

- Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed: attack speed will give us more damage per second and help us last hit since our attacks fire faster.
- Greater Mark of Attack Damage: we need damage so attack damage marks will help with that.
- Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: magic resist for if the enemy mid laner roams bot lane or the enemy support has strong magic damage and trust me they do in solo queue.
- Greater Seal of Armor: this will help us tank some more hits from the enemy adc and help us win trades.

You always put an point into The Culling as it's you ultimate and very important. We first max Piercing Light as it is our most damaging spell throughout the game and is very crucial to max early for damage. We then max Relentless Pursuit as the cooldown and mana cost goes down so we can dash a lot for our passive. We finally max Ardent Blaze as it doesn't give much from levelling it.
Lightslinger adds a second hit to your auto attack after using an ability. The second shot does 40-60% damage and 100% damage to minions and applies onhit effects and crits.
Piercing Light
This ability shoots a line of light that deals damage and damages all enemies in the line of light. This ability is lucians bread and butter as it has a low cast time and has good damage throughout all stages of the game.
COST: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 MANA
COOLDOWN: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 (+ 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100% bonus AD)
Ardent Blaze
this ability fires a skillshot that explodes in a cross pattern on impact of a champion or end of its range. Hitting an enemy gives vision of them and movespeed when you auto attack them
This ability does not do much damage at all and scales with ap, but is very effective at chasing down enemies or kiting away from them. you can check bushes with this skill if you are afraid there is an enemy is the bush.
COST: 50 MANA
COOLDOWN: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10
MAGIC DAMAGE: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 90% AP)
BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80
Relentless Pursuit
This ability is a short dash and it's cooldown is reduced for each time Lightslinger is used.
This ability is a small dash and may seem a bit useless but it activates Lightslinger and also has a short cooldown when used with other abilities you can be dashing around like crazy and gives a lot of mobility.
COST: 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 / 0 MANA
COOLDOWN: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14
The Culling
This ability fires shots in a targeted direction for 3 seconds.
This ability is fantastic because not only does it do great damage to champions but the damage is quadrupled against minions making it a great wave clear ability. The cooldown on this is pretty short but you can't use auto attacks or q or w while using it but you will have a lot more damage using The Culling and from a longer range.
COST: 100 MANA
COOLDOWN: 110 / 100 / 90
PHYSICAL DAMAGE PER SHOT: 20 / 35 / 50 (+ 20% AD) (+ 10% AP)
SHOTS FIRED: 20 / 25 / 30
Items
Item Sequence
The first item we pick up is an Essence Reaver which will give us crit chance and damage as well as some mana sustain which goes nicely into our other items. |
we take Berserker's Greaves as our preferred boots of choice to give us more damage per second but we can take defensive boots as well and it wont hinder our damage too much. |
We then need an attack speed option which I personally think Rapid Firecannon is the best of the attack speed items currently but Statikk Shiv and Phantom Dancer are also great. |
We build infinity edge to go along with our other items. Crit chance and Crit damage gives a lot of increased damage that we cant miss. This item is necessary on Lucian and every other adc. |
We build Lord Dominik's Regards as it gives us armor penetration and lots of it, with this item you will start to shred through anyone with the passive it has. |
We build Bloodthirster as it gives us some extra damage but most importantly extra sustain with the 20% lifesteal it gives we get a lot of survivability in teamfights. |
Mercurial Scimitar is a very strong item as it can easily replace Bloodthirster whilst giving us defense stats. The Quicksilver Sash component is the main reason you would get this item. Having a cleanse as an item on a 90 second cooldown is very strong and it allows you to get away from harmful cc. |
Guardian Angel is a very good situational defence item now. It's cheap has good armor and magic resist and the passive that we know the item for. Try not to buy this item too much as it lowers your damage output a lot unless they have 2 or more assassins. |
EARLY GAME, MID GAME AND LATE GAME.
EARLY GAME
early game is all about last hitting in lane. you should aim for about 100cs at 14 minutes, this will give you a lead over your opponent If they cant last hit. when the opponent tries to last hit hit them with an auto attack, if you have an aggressive support this could even lead to a kill.
MID GAME
mid game is about 15-20 minute mark. you should have atleast 100-150cs. depending on how you went in lane will dictate your mid game. if your team is ahead and you won lane, you should roam with you team and try to take objectives. if you lost lane though you should stay in lane and try to cs, you can also freeze the lane so your opponent cant come bot to farm. heres a link if you don't know how to freeze the lane freeze lane guide
LATE GAME
this is where things get tough for you, its hard to cs without getting ganked so you have to teamfight. In teamfights you should hang at the back of your team, once the teamfight erupts focus on the closest and most important enemy while keeping yourself safe so if that means attacking the tank you go ahead and do that. once the enemy cc is gone and you feel safe go in with and go crazy. try to get your team to focus on baron and dragon as that gives you massive advantages.
