Items
Most items apart from the ones introduced item 4 and 5 were explained in the build area, this is just to avoid having an extremely long note for the last section.

Quicksilver Sash - Useful against enemies with a suppress (think Malzahar, Warwick, Skarner, etc.) You can build into either Mercurial Scimitar or Silvermere Dawn (although you should probably sit on the QSS component until it's your final item), I typically prefer Silvermere Dawn due to the health and stronger effect after cleansing, but both are viable choices and it's up to you to figure out which works better in your situation.

Guardian Angel - This item is very useful in nearly any situation, especially against comps with AD, but even without that factor, just having the revive can win you a fight.

Runaan's Hurricane - This item is a good aggressive choice for later in the game, as it gives you more speed to play with, lets you attack quicker and lets you just generally do more damage in a fight as you're hitting multiple targets. If you don't need any of the other situational items, this can work well.

Anathema's Chains - This item is good if the enemy team has a single fed carry champion that you want to avoid being one-shot by.

Maw of Malmortius - This item is good against teams with a lot of AP threats, especially AP burst. It's much better as a late game item than an early-mid game item due to how it scales.
