Introduction

So you want to play Teemo?! You're in luck, he's not that hard to play. ;)

My guide is intended to help a few friends to play Teemo, any comments are appreciated. I will not go into detail as it is only to give an outline of how to play him.

Runes

For on-hit-effect Teemo, it's best to build some AP, AD, Magic Resist and some Attack Speed to maximize your survivability and damage output.

The 3 Greater Quintessence of Ability Power's are there to give you a 15 AP bonus which can help at level one to get those minion kills with your Toxic Shot.

The Greater Glyph of Magic Resist's are used to help protect Teemo from any Magic Damage. The reason I don't take Armor is because Teemo has a Blind which can protect him from AD carries.

The Greater Seal of Attack Speed's are self-explanatory, the more attacks Teemo pulls off, the more his on-hit-effects trigger = more damage :D

Finally, the Greater Mark of Attack Damage's are there to help with some creep farming and just a bit of extra damage.

Masteries

I have chosen a 22/9/0 build which focuses on damage output through Ability Power. There are many mastery builds that would work fine with Teemo, but I found this one to be my favourite.

Teemo's Spells

Camouflage - After standing still for 2 seconds, you become stealthed. After leaving stealth, you have a 40% increase in attack speed for 2 seconds. Great for ambushing enemies.

Blinding Dart - Blinds the enemy for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds and deals AP damage. Use wisely on AD carries to render them useless. Does not stop spells from hitting you!

Move Quick - Increase your Movement Speed by 10/14/18/22/26% after not being hit by a champion or turret for more than 5 seconds. ACTIVE - Doubles Teemo's passive movement speed and will not lose it if hit. GREAT for escaping or catching enemies, or just getting across the map.

Toxic Shot - Every time you attack it deals magic damage and then ticks for damage every second for 4 seconds. Basically just increases the damage of your auto-attacks.

Noxious Trap (SHROOM) - Plants a shroom at the target location that will explode when enemies tread on it dealing damage, slowing, and revealing their location. Acts as a ward. Lasts for 10 minutes. Use this as a ward or an escape mechanism.

Items

I start off with getting Boots and 3 Health Potion's to help stay in lane that extra bit longer. I then follow up with a Malady which adds some extra damage early game which can really help get in some harass. I follow up with a Wit's End to help with some Magic Resist and also some Attack Speed to give some extra burst. Berserker's Greaves are next to help compliment Move Quick followed by a Giant's Belt to help with Teemo's natural squishy-ness :)

The last 3 items are either for damage or sustainability. The Madred's Bloodrazor is great for taking out tanks or quickly taking out Baron Nashor and then a Frozen Mallet helps to stop your enemies from getting away. You must decide which of the last two items ( Rabadon's Deathcap and Guardian Angel) you will buy. You can only have one so buy according to how the game is going. You should buy the RD if you're not being focused for more damage and the GA if you are being focused and you think it would benefit you to have that second chance. :)

Summoner Spells

I choose Ghost and Ignite for the insane movement speed when used together with Move Quick. Popping off Ghost and then just getting in range to get off an Ignite can you get you a lot of kills.

Why don't I take Flash? I feel that Flash isn't very useful on Teemo as he can have a Movement Speed of over 500 at times which can help a lot to escape, he also has his Camouflage which can help him to hide in bushes. Overall, I think Ghost is useful for catching enemies and running away from them. :)

Pros / Cons

Pros
    Fun to play!
    Shrooms are life savers!
    You have unlimited wards!
    Can nuke tanks
Has amazing stealth for surprise attacks
    Has fun and interesting spells!

Cons:
    Extremely Squishy
Enemies quite often escape after the last poison tick (annoying)
    He's all about positioning

Scores in 3 games

Just a few games that I did today. Didn't do so well in the last one but came positive and helped the team quite a bit. :)

Summary

In conclusion, Teemo is fairly easy to play and just takes a bit of time to get used to. As long as you position him correctly (mostly out of the line of fire), you will be fine. Remember that if you have 3 shrooms in your bags, you are not making use of your warding capabilities! Try to always plant them if you are not going to need a lot of mana soon!
