Pretty easy matchup. Take ignite and snowball hard. Save your q till he uses his gap closer to run away.
Akali
Don't go for many early trade, because she can easily sustain. Rush hexdrinker and bait out the w. if its down go for the all in.
Camille
Just farm against her. Make sure you won't get hit by her w and if she ever uses her e on you, then go for a big trade because she just used her gap closer.
Cho'Gath
This lane is freelo. Play aggresive from level 1 and avoid his q.
Darius
This lane could be annoying. his passive makes it hard to trade. If Darius ever uses his q, trade with him.
Dr. Mundo
Take ignite to cut off his healing from his ultimate.
Fiora
This is a skill matchup, but it is a bit fiora favoured. The key to winning this lane is to bait out her riposte.
Fizz
After the fizz buff to his w he became viable in the top lane again as a tank. However we are lucky that fizz gets countered by jax.
Gangplank
Very boring lane if GP decides to play like a btch. 9 times out of 10 he will take exhaust which makes it hard to dive him on your own. You can interrupt his barrel combo by auto attacking it once and reset your auto attack with your w.
Garen
Very hard lane. you will be pushed in most of the time. Block his q with your counter strike and ask your jungler for help.
Jax
Better jungler wins ;)
Gnar
Pretty easy matchup. try to cheese him level 1 to get a hp adventage. Max q in this game.
Illaoi
I'd like to take ignite in this matchup. Cheese her level 1. That's when she doesnt have her e. The matchup is pretty easy. All you have to do is avoid her e.
Irelia
Skill matchup. Trade with her when her w is on cooldown.
Jayce
very difficult lane. You almost can never go for a trade on him because he will knock you back and re-engage. Try to get as much safe cs as possible, cause you will be able to all in him later. use you counter strike defensivly to get farm.
Kayle
Don't get poked down too much. Max q and use the long lane too kill her.
Kennen
Very difficult lane. Rush hexdrinker and max q. try to stay behind minions so he cant hit you with his q.
Malphite
Its hard to kill malphite because of his attackspeed debuff. I will try to kill him early though, because he won't have a lot of ressistances early.
Maokai
Maokai has been nerfed hard in the previous patches. This is one of the easier tanks to play against.
Nasus
Try to cheese him at level 1 to get an hp advantage. Then punish him for every cs he goes for. if his e is on cooldown all in him.
Nautilus
he has a lot of cc. if he ever uses an ability on the minion wave, then go for a trade.
Olaf
Olaf is a cheese champion in the top lane. if you dont die in the first 3 levels then you already have won. almost all his damage comes from auto attacks which is countered by your e ability.
Pantheon
Together with Jayce, probably the hardest lane for Jax. either take dorans shield + 1 pot or cloth armor + 4 pots. Focus on farming and ask you junglers for ganks.
Poppy
Poppy has very high base damage and becomes very tanky. try to kill her early and if u cant shove her under tower and go roam.
Quinn
Early game will be hard because you cant really engage on your because she will knock you back and attacks you. The lane will be easy if you get jungle help. If your jungler comes for a gank then activate you counter strike and flash e on the quin. If she knocks you back you can use you q to gap close on her and she will most likely be dead. Later on you will be able to one shot quin.
Renekton
Renekton is a lane bully, however jax can win this lane. The reason why renekton is a difficult lane is because he can outsutain your mana. The biggest part from renektons damage comes from his empowered w. if you can counterstrike his empowerd e you most likely will win the trade.
Riven
Riven is a frustrating lane. not because she is a hard matchup from jax, but because its hard to kill her when she plays like a btch (All riven mains in low elo are braindead ;). Just try to farm it out and if she ever uses her abilities to gap close on you fight her.
Rumble
Lane will be hard if you let yourself get bullied. Play the lane aggresive and safe your counter strike for when he is in overload mode.
Ryze
I dont see him often in the top lane but he is get easy around lvl 4. max q and go on him every time he uses an ability on the minions wave. If you want to set up an all in you will need to bait out his snare. You can do this by walking in to the brush and just walk to him (dont use you q). he will most likely snare you) which means you can all in him in a second.
Shen
It is almost impossible to trade with shen in the early levels. his q gives him a shield and makes his auto attacks stronger, so he will most likely win the trade and his w blocks all your auto attacks. So just farm up and rush tiamat in to titanic. keep pressuring his turret post 6 and take tp for this matchup.
Singed
When your first wave of minions spawn walk with your minions to your lane. If singed tries to proxy the first wave, then just kill him or chunk his hp so he cant proxy an other wave. get an other dorans blade and rush tiamat. if he tries to proxy your lane, then just let him and go free farm. Late game jax is more scarier then late game Singed.
Sion
Avoid his e and save your q. try to walk to him and go for a trade. When he charges his e you can q on to him and get behind him. You win all of the trade if u can avoid being hit by his q knock up.
Teemo
try to get 6 without dying and with as much free cs as possible. Start dorans shield and rush either hexdrinker, MR boots or Spectres crowl. max q and ask for ganks.
Trundle
Take ignite and rush blade of the ruined king. All his damage comes from auto attacks and save you ult for after trundle has used his ult.
Tryndamere
This lane could be tricky if the enemy tryndamere has ignite. I like to take ignite in this matchup myself and to get an early kill. This matchup is very snowbally. Don't let him stack his fury for free.
Vladimir
First few levels will be hard because he has a lot of sustain. Take ignite in this lane to cut off his healing and max q. try to stay at a high amount of hp till around lvl 4/5. Wait till he has used him empowerd q on a minions and go in for a trade and disengage. you can all in him after you chunked him a bit. Make sure you have ignite.
Wukong
Take ignite and cheese him lvl 1. wukong is a pretty easy lane and its easy to snowball on him.
Xin Zhao
Very easy lane. your counter strike will fck him up. play aggresive in this lane.
Yasuo
Skill matchup. try to get level 2 first. If yasuo gets its first he will dash on to you go for a trade and dash away, you won't be able to do a lot in return if you're level 1. never use your e when your q is on cooldown. it is import to hit the stun against yasuo.

I started to learn a lot of advanced things at the start of season 6. Those were things like wave management, using teleport and efficient buys. I climbed from bronze 4 to Platinum 5.

Basic Jax Combo's + Tips and Tricks
level 1 Cheese: Go to the closest brush near the enemy tower and sit there till the minions crash. Wait for you enemy to hit a minions and walk behind him. Auto attack him so that his minions will focus you and activate counter strike. Keep Auto attacking him and make sure u stay close. Either disengage after the stun or keep auto attacking him, you will do a lot of dammage because you stacked your fervor of battle mastery.
Quick Trade: Auto attack -> W
Trade Post 6: (Auto attack a minion 2 times) Q -> Auto attack -> W
100% stun: e -> flash -> e
All in combo: (Auto attack a minions 2 times) Q -> Auto attack -> W -> E -> AA -> AA...
Tips and Trick:
- Don't wait till you are low to use your ultimate. Its better to use it early in a fight since it gives a lot of resistances.
- you can q in to friendly units like wards, minions, allies, Jarvan flagg and even the plants in the jungle.
- Don't make it a habit to use your e just for stun only. if you e -> q -> e -> auto attack -> w on to the opponent, then everyhting will be on cooldown
- Don't q just to q. Save your q if u walk to the opponent. Saving your q means that it's harder for the enemy to escape and it guarantees that you will hit the stun.
