Talon Build Guide by katsumex

Introduction

Hey guys, this is my first build on mobafire. I'd like to give credit where credit is do, by that i mean that i took a few of the runes and mastery build from another guide. I will list the credits at the end of this little chapter ^-^.

First, Talon is a heavy burst AD champ. What that means is that talon can burst someone on the enemy team that is a high priority target. For example squishies, AD Carries, AP Carries(Some of em).

Talon is also a great mid lane champ, he can pretty much shut down any ap carry that's in mid.

Runes

Okay lets get down to rune choice, this is all preference!.

I use the following :

3x Flat damage quints
9x Armor pen marks
9x Mp5 seals
9x magic resist glyphs

The reason i use the mp5 seals are because you basically have infinite mana. Free harass, free minion farm? I think so ;3

You can substitute the flat damage quints with armor pen quints but remember whats the point of having armor pen and no damage?

Mp5 seals can be replaced with armor seals if you feel talon is a bit to squishy.

Items

Okay lets get to the items.

== Early Game ==

I start off with and x3

Now depending on the lane, you have a choice.

If its an AP Carry then go with . If your having issues with someone in your lane buy some sustain items or

Now picking your boots, If they have a lot of cc(Crowd control) then go with . If they have a lot of ad champs or just not that much cc go with

== Mid Game ==

Hopefully by now you have a kill or two and some descent farm. Now you have to focus what you need. Mid game you should be almost done or have your blood thirster. Talon is a burst champ so if you think your not doing what you need to in a team fight build some armor or magic resist , Also you want to have a after your blood thirster, mainly because your q hurts :o

== Late Game ==

Here's where you truly can shine. Your build should be something like

blood thirster and or (If you have someone like karthus annoying you). Remember the infinity edge is if your doing well and winning team fights. Infinity edge or Last whisper can be your last items. Without any AD, last whisper does nothing. can be finished any time during mid to late game. It helps with talons pushing of towers etc...

Build accordingly, for example if they have a rammus( ) you build a .

Skill Sequence

Okay the skill sequence is quite easy, but their are a bunch of combinations for you to use your skills.

Remember your Noxian Diplomacy resets your auto attack, so use it to your advantage ;3.

Pros / Cons

Highest burst ad champ
Stealth
Easy farmer
Escape artist
Great team fighter
Great against squishies
Can lane in any lane

==Cons==

Oracles shuts you down hard believe it or not
Off tanky champs give you a hard time

Ranked Play

Here's the thing with ranked play, you can go in any lane you like but.... a lot of players will hate you if you go bot.

Basically you want to make whatever lane your against (preferably top) build against you and you alone. The strategy behind this is that the person your fighting against won't be able to handle someone like an ap champ or someone with heavy burst etc....

Here's another great thing with talon, he can harass and farm at the same time ^-^. With the mp5 runes, you can harass every 3 seconds + rakes cool down without running to low out of mana. Farming is extremely important in a ranked game, Talon is extremely hard to gank because of his ultimate but don't neglect wards, buy them as needed.

The cool thing about laning top is that when you kill the enemies tower, you will be on a whole different level then mid and bot. Meaning you can carry mid/latish game a bit. Don't ever aim for a pentakill on there team. Always try to feed your team mates :3.

Once you master talon you can freely use his cut throat ability coupled with rake to get in a lot of harass then use the fog of war to run away :3.
