skill order:
R > W > Q/E
don't max Q first early unless all you want to do is poke.

AP core:
Sorcerer's Shoes/ Mercury's Treads > Zhonya's Hourglass > Rabadon's Deathcap > Abyssal Scepter/ Void Staff

situational items:
early
Haunting Guise-decent early against a lane that's pretty close, Kennen doesn't scale all that well
Hextech Revolver-more sustain early game
Ninja Tabi-against high AD top (or mid)
Heart of Gold/ kage's lucky pick-good for either lane if slightly behind or just want to go GP/10 over doran's
mid/late
Randuin's Omen-alternate armor item against high AD/for more CC
Guardian Angel-this should be obvious
Sunfire Cape-if you need a cheap armor and health item, wouldn't get if mid
Force of Nature-against high AP if playing more of an AP bruiser
Deathfire Grasp-really for CDR, active is just a bonus you'll rarely use
Will of the Ancients-if your team has double AP or you always grab early revolver
