Hey guys and welcome to another guide of mine on this site. In League of Legends, I am known as "Big Shawn". I have played League since Season 5 and would say myself that I did improve a lot. I would not classify myself as a "good" player, but a "decent" player. I am currenty in Gold tier and I am aiming for Platinum this season. I am publishing this guide because I want to show the way I play and hope that I can help some of you. I have currently 150k+ points on Kennen and through that, we can clearly see that I enjoy this champ and have some experience too. So how did it come to me playing Kennen so often? I am the type of guy who loves mobile champs and as I needed some AP in my champion pool, Kennen became one of my favourite champs and especially my pocket pick. He is, since so many seasons, so underrated and underestimated by opponents, which probably is why he is so strong.

I am a main Midlaner since playing Yasuo and have learned to play other champs like Ekko and Kennen which are also so much fun. I can only recommend playing these champs. But I focus more on learning new champions and improve, meaning it doesn't matter to me much what people think of my champion pool and so on. With this said, lets jump right to the guide!

Probably one of the first questions which come up in your mind will be "Why Doran's ring?". Well the answer to that is poking. Kennen's Q is such a gifted and powerful ability which becomes even more abusive when buying Doran's ring. Even though you have no mana, that little amount of AP will allow you to be more dominant and pressure the enemy as your poking becomes a real Threat. Although Doran's blade is also a good item in terms of farming, as Kennen does not have much AD, making minion farming a challenge. Yet still both items are great to start with.

The rest of the item set should be understandable and clear.

1. Domination

I. Electrocute | Basic attacks and abilities generate stacks on enemy champions hit, up to one per attack or cast. Applying 3 stacks to a target within a 3 second period causes them to be struck by lightning, dealing them 30 − 180 (based on level) (+ 40% bonus AD) (+ 25% AP) Attack damage Ability power Adaptive damage. If you know Kennen well, you can imagine why this keystone is so amazing on him. The full ability combination of his will always trigger this keystone when it is available. Even in early game, Electrocute will harm the opponent so much. Sustainability of the opponent will therefore be unlikely to exist if you play it right.

II. Taste of Blood | Damaging an enemy champion heals you for 18 − 35 (based on level) (+ 20% bonus AD) (+ 10% AP). Poke. Poke. Poke. It is all about poke and sustain on the lane. Them rhymes. Anyways. There is not much to say about this selection. Free life steal!

III. Eyeball Collection | Gain 1.2 bonus Attack Damage or 2 Ability Power (Adaptive) per Eyeball collected, up to 12 bonus Attack Damage or 20 Ability Power (Adaptive). Completing your collection awards an additional 6 bonus Attack Damage or 10 Ability Power (Adaptive). Who wouldn't take free AP when killing your opponent? Obviously you need kills to advance. This keystone isn't so crucial though as Kennen is more of a teamwork champ, although carrying is still possible.

IV. Ravenous Hunter | Reduces the cooldown of your ultimate ability by 5% (+ 4% per Bounty Hunter stack), up to 25% at 5 stacks. Earn a Bounty Hunter stack for champion takedowns, up to one per unique enemy champion. This one's clear. Getting your Ultimate ability in a short period of time is one of the most satisfying things as it does so much damage to all the opponents around you.

V. Perfect Timing | Receive a Stopwatch item at 10 minutes. The Replica Stopwatch is identical to the Stopwatch item, except it only contributes for a value of Gold 250. A cosmetic, Commencing Stopwatch, occupies one of your item slots before this time. Additionally, reduces the Cooldown of Guardian Angel's passive as well as the active effects of Gargoyle Stoneplate and Zhonya's Hourglass by 15%. There's not much to say about this selection. Zhonya's Hourglass is crucial for Kennen as he has the ability to cast his ultimate ability and then use Zhonya's Hourglass to avoid damage, but still deal damage.

VI. Future's Market | You can enter debt to buy items, up to Gold 145 (+ Gold 5 per Minute), which is displayed as negative gold in your treasury. A Gold 50 lending fee is added on to the amount of money you owe after leaving the store. You cannot borrow money before 2:00. As Kennen, you do not have much sustain in terms of gaining HP. This rune allows you to back more often as you are able to go in debts, allowing you to buy smaller items, especially health potions.

Ignite (F)
I don't think there's much to explain. Ignite allows you to have so much power in your hands. As soon as you stun your opponent, thanks to your passive, you may decide whether to ignite him/her or not.

Flash (D)
Well this Summoner Spell is a must. No one wants to get ganked by the enemy jungler, nor let a kill get away.
