Introduction

Twisted Fate is a very great champion who can take down any squishy in 1 second. He can be played with many different builds letting him be in almost all team compositions. In this guide i'll be showing you AD Twisted Fate.

Twisted Fates Story:
Although born to poor gypsy parents, the champion known as Twisted Fate was able to gamble his way to prosperity as a card shark in the seedy underground gambling circuits of Demacia and Noxus. No matter how close the authorities came to catching him, the rogue always found a way to slip through their fingers. Despite his good fortune, he was never able to win that which he truly desired - the ability to control magic. When Twisted Fate learned of an experiment being conducted in Zaun that might help him with his wish, he did the only thing a gambler of his worth could do - he went all in and volunteered for the experiment.

Conducted by the infamous Dr. Xavier Rath, Twisted Fate was told that the wager for such participation might be steep. He might change forever, or nothing might happen, or he might die horribly. Pain, however, was likely a part of the deal no matter the outcome. These were hardly the worst odds the gambler had faced; his hopes raised, Twisted Fate underwent the experiment, enduring what he must for a chance at his dream. Then, it ended - with seemingly no effect whatsoever. The gypsy rogue flew into a murderous rage, but, before he could strike down the team, he suddenly teleported himself miles away. With a sly grin, he realized his luck had won out yet again. He now brings his luck and rakish charm to the Institute of War, where he is the Champion of choice for many - especially the gambling kind. To this day, Twisted Fate has avoided his inevitable reunion with Dr. Rath. The Card Master knows, however, that a confrontation is coming.

While the future may be mysterious and unknown to most, Twisted Fate is certain that his future lies within the cards.

Runes

greater mark of desolation Probably the best mark for AD there is because it makes your auto attacks so much better. These runes also scale better into late game than pure AD runes so you'll benefit a lot from these.

These runes will bring you a lot of armor that is much needed early game against AD champions. They will let you survive so you don't have to recall very early in the game.

Having trouble against AP? Well take these runes for the extra magic resist. It'll make it a little easier to take those AP champions pokes and harasses.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation Ah, more ARP. This is needed for your auto attacks to do the maximum damage. With all the other ARP you get plus these runes your auto attacks will easily do almost true damage early game.

Summoner Spells

can get you out of very tough situations. Remember Flash can go over walls. Also Once you click or press the hot key for it, it will automatically teleport you. Flash is still needed and is important even after the nerf though you could switch it with Ghost if you want to.

reduces damage done by enemies, slows them, and with the mastery it reduces their defenses. This is a very great skill because you can catch people, run away with it, or turn the tide of a losing battle. This skill also helps a lot against those pesky AD carries.

gives you great map control because you can teleport to all the places with a tower or minions. You can use it to quickly get to a lane to push or defend a turret that's being attacked. With Destiny you can literally be at two places at once!

is a spell that does true damage and does more based on your level. It's more suited for early game though because it does not scale very well into late game. You should also take this spell if you are facing annoying heal champions like Dr. Mundo and Swain because it makes your enemy have 50% reduced healing.

Skills

Twisted Fate and his allies receive an additional 2 gold per kill. This bonus is lost while Twisted Fate is dead.

This passive could be better, but it lets everyone get a little more expensive build and buy more wards and potions. REMEMBER if Twisted Fate is dead then the passive does not work.

Twisted Fate fires 3 cards forward in a cone, damaging everything in their way and passing through targets.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Range: 1,700

This skill is almost completely useless in this build because it scales on Ap not Ad meaning it'll do almost no damage.

Cards flash over Twisted Fate's head in this order: blue, then red, then gold, then blue again, starting randomly with any of the three and then continuing this pattern. When he uses the ability again, he picks the current card over his head, and the card picked gives a special effect to his next attack. This attack cannot miss or be dodged.
Cooldown: 6 seconds after card is thrown.

Blue Card:
Twisted Fate's next attack will deal magic damage and will restore mana equal to 65% of the damage done.

This card allows you to get mana when you need it. It also helps kill towers because of the extra damage it gives.

Red Card:
Twisted Fate's next attack will deal magic damage and will damage all enemies around the main target for the same amount as the target. All enemies hit will also be slowed for 2.5 seconds.

This card is good for farming minions and if you can't get the gold card then this card can slow the enemy down so you can still catch or run away from them.

Gold Card:
Twisted Fate's next attack will deal magic damage and stun the target.

Gold card allows you to stun the enemy which can easily turn the tide of a battle, stop a fleeing enemy, or help you flee yourself.

(Passive) Every fourth attack, Twisted Fate deals bonus magic damage. In addition, he gains attack speed and cooldown reduction.

Attack speed for more DPS and CDR for faster Pick A Card spamming.

Twisted Fate reveals all enemy champions (including stealthed champions). While Destiny is active, Twisted Fate can use Gate once.
Twisted Fate teleports to a location in a large radius after a 2 second delay.
Range: 5500

Whole map Clairvoyance and a huge teleport. Gate got nerfed but still viable. Great for ganking lonely champions or backdooring.

Items

First I take the Doran's Blade. The extra health is very useful for getting first blood and the bonuses are great for early game giving you a slight boost over an opponent who did not get a Doran's item. It also gives you 10 attack damage and 3% lifesteal which helps a lot.

Next I take Berserker's Greaves for attack speed and movement speed. These boots are very inexpensive and give good bonuses for early game which is why I take then this soon. You can take mercury trends if they have tons of CC and/or magic damage.

Next is Black Cleaver. The cleaver gives attack damage, attack speed, and not to mention armor pen. The damage works well because this build gets a lot of attack speed so the damage is necessary to max Twisted Fate's DPS. Attack speed is useful because this is a DPS build and attack speed is good for DPS champs. The armor penetration will help take down tanks a whole lot easier.

For the next item I get Phantom Dancer. It gives attack speed, crit, and movement speed. Attack speed because it's attack speed. Crit for more damage. Move speed to chase or run away. What's not to love?

Then you get Infinity Edge. Tons of attack damage, critical, and 250% critical damage. The attack damage gives a lot more DPS. The crit chance for even more crits. Crit damage for lots of damage on your crits. Yes please!

Next is the Bloodthirster. Has some of the most AD in the game, 100 (other than a fully maxed out Sword of the Occult but yeah)! And 25% lifesteal which all Physical DPSers need to stay alive. Though remember if you don't kill minions you will not get more AD or lifesteal, also if you die you lose all your extra AD and lifesteal from the passive.

Last is the Frozen Mallet. 700 health to take you into the not so squishy anymore category. and help you survive much easier 20 AD's not going to help too too much but it might give that extra boost to kill someone. The slow will let you easily catch up to a fleeing enemy so you can get that kill you want. Awesome.

Situational Items

This little item is so great for Twisted Fate. It gives everything a Twsited Fate needs. The health will make it easier to survive, the attack speed the critical chance, and the attack damage buff up your damage, you get a slow, and most importantly 150% of your attack damage! This attack damage boost will make it so you do very good burst with Pick A Card. My only problem with this is it doesn't give as much health as a Frozen Mallet and it's so expensive. This item is still very great for Twisted Fate and if you want you can buy it.

This item is very good against teams that stack a lot of health but not much magic resist. Its passive ability does 4% magic damage per hit on your target. The problems with this item are its price and magic resist effects the magic damage from the passive. Use this only against teams that stack a lot of health but not much magic resist.

The Youmuu's Ghostblade is right for you if want more attack speed, critical chance, and armor penetration. The active of this ability gives you a lot more attack speed. It also gives you that extra movement speed bonus to help you run away or chase. Remember to use this during fights because the active will buff you a lot. My only problem with this is it's just not a really good item when the active has been used. I prefer other items like the Phantom Dancer but it's still a pretty good item.

This item gives lot of attack speed and a little bit of health. If you bought this at 0 stacks on your Stacked Deck then every fourth hit will do a lot of extra damage because of this passive. Just remember that it is really easy to push with this so try not to over extend if you build it.

Note: For the magic DPS build you will want the Madred's Bloodrazor and a Ionic Spark.

Magic DPS

YAY, magic DPS Twisted Fate? In my opinion magic DPS Twisted Fate should only be used in Twisted Treeline for it has a very low cost for pretty good DPS. You max Stacked Deck first because it gives around 150 damage every 4 attacks and you get so much attack speed so it helps a lot. Most of the items focus on magic damage passives like the bloodrazor and malady. You mainly just will be auto attacking and using pick a card when you can. Banshees will just help survivability. Overall this is a inexpensive but good build that I think will work very well on Twisted Treeline. This build is still pretty easily shut down by a lot of magic resist so I wouldn't recommend this in ranked games.
