I. Introduction
Welcome to my Lucian guide! Hello I'm Tsubaki Sasuke this is my first time on making a guide and I'm playing on League of Legends PH server, currently Diamond 1. I started to play League Season 1 and I really like the game.
I really want to strive to challenger. I've participated on tournaments during season 2 and season 3 and stop at season 4 because of some personal reasons. Even then it didn't stop me from playing competitively and still striving to go as far as I could. By the way, my main role is adc but I'm also good at playing other roles mid, support, top, and jungle is my weakest. Let's get started! |
|
Greater Mark of Attack Damage, Lucian abilities scales on AD(except on Relentless Pursuit) and you're an adc its obvious that you need some AD at the start, followed up by a 1% crit chance from Greater Mark of Critical Chance for some lucky shot. Greater Seal of Armor, of course you're laning against an enemy adc. A good amount of armor can help you withstand any trade blow without suffering much damage. Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist, it depends on your personal preference but I recommend this instead of the flat ones especially when the enemy AP Carries got a good start like ( Annie, or LeBlanc) Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage like I said before Lucian's an adc. Greater Quintessence of Life Steal, for sustaining lane especially against high harass lanes. |

The main focus of this mastery build is to maximize your overall damage output on Lucian by using a 21-9-0 skill tree with a little but helpful 9 points to his defense. This is the typical mastery build for most of adc's and it is my recommended build for those who are new on adc role. You can use also Dangerous Game in exchange of Butcher for surviving teamfights unless you're having a hard time last hitting minions early game. You can also take Feast instead of Double-Edged Sword if you're having a bad time on hard harass match-up for maximum sustain. That's all I can say within mastery build. |
Lucian is popular in the new meta. He is among one of the four adc god tier along with Jinx, Miss Fortune, and Draven.
By the way, who is Lucian? What makes him unique to other adc champs?
Let's see his Pros / Cons to find out what makes him viable adc.

Best Choice
Flash is a spell that is a must have for Lucian. It is very useful to maximize his mobility pair it with Relentless Pursuit for his overall movement, wall jumping, chasing and a quick getaway tool for dive-in champions like ( Zed, Kha'Zix, or Jarvan IV).
Heal is one of the great choice spell for every adc, because of its heal + a 2 second movement speed buff. It is competitively fighting over Barrier, but I would recommend Heal over Barrier.Beware! if your support gets heal too, it will minimize the Heal's effectiveness if you both have this spell. Cooperate with your support when to use each others Heal, OR change your Heal to Barrier instead.
Barrier has many uses in different kind of situations, it can be use offensively, defensively and you can even use it as a baiting tool! See how fantastic this spell was BUT it can be less efficient too if you don't use it correctly. Due to its 2 second duration spell, I recommend Heal than this one but that was just my personal preference and like I said in the " Heal" section, choose this spell if your support decides to have Heal in his kit.
Cleanse this is a very underrated summoner spell because of Heal/ Barrier. It becomes a variant for Quicksilver Sash/ Mercurial Scimitar and of course you already have Relentless Pursuit. Still, this is a good choice when fighting a heavy crowd control enemy team comps.
Ghost this is a good spell due to its movement speed bonus and unit collision. You can use this to position yourself in a fight or to quickly move away from enemy bruisers when they get close enough in your position. Still, it's a decent choice but I would rather choose Flash over Ghost for extra maneuvers.
Other Choices:
Ignite is a powerful killing tool when you like to play aggressively and take over your early game. You can confirm kills by the help of this spell BUT it is either win/lose bet if you fail to maximize its early strengths. I will rather have my support grab this spell because you don't have a defense from this spell.
Exhaust I consider that it is better to leave this to your support. Still this is a good
one-on-one spell against a fed enemy champ.

Lightslinger: This is Lucian's passive. Everytime Lucian use his ability, his next auto-attack becomes double-shot. It applies on hit effects and can critically strike. However, the second shot deals less damage than the first shot. Minions and Monsters take full damage from the second shot.
