The point of this rune page is so you can harass while tanking damage being dished out to you. You can win trades to put the opposing laner at lower health, so that when you hit level six it's an easy kill with your good damage, Ignite, and your (hopefully you farmed well to get this) Bilgewater Cutlass. Generally you should pick this Nidalee against someone with no range at all like Riven, Shyvana, Aatrox, Trundle, etc. If you're worried about gap closers all you have to do is when they jump on you go Cougar and q for that strong harass and w away.
