Hai there.

Oh Hai there!

Just wanna say a few things before i start.

I dont play Olaf as much as i did before.
but as you all know, hes a true damage maniac.

I will now show the tactics behind a true SWEDISH VIKING!

Pros / Cons

Cons -

Bad early game
Exhaust is Olaf's Worst nightmare

Skills

For every 1% health missing, Olaf's attack speed is increased by 1%.

A very good passive, everyone loves increased attack speed. This is why we are building health items instead of armor (ofc were getting a little of that too, but were not Rammus)

(Active): Olaf throws an axe to a target location, dealing physical damage to units it passes through and slowing them for 2.5 seconds. If Olaf picks up the axe, the ability's cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds.

Olaf's secret ganking/chasing weapon. 40% slow at rank 5. Love this ability when playing him, hate it when playing against him.

(Active): For 6 seconds, Olaf's attack damage is increased by a flat amount and 1% of his maximum health. He also gains lifesteal and spell vamp.

Godlike ability. This is another reason that were building hp on Olaf. Damage depending on HP and lifesteal. Works great with your passive.

(Active): Olaf attacks with such force that it deals true damage to his target and himself.

True damage. Do i need to say more? Yes. This is your harrasing ability, no mana cost and you can just use your Tough It Out to regain the health used to deal TRUE SWEDISH DAMAGE to your opponents. This ability is great early-mid game but gets worse late game. Still an awesome ability to lasthit etc.

(Passive): Olaf has increased armor penetration.
(Active): Olaf instantly removes all crowd control effects from himself. He is also immune to disables (including silences and blinds) and reduces incoming damage.

Olaf's ultimate. Great in fights, while being chased (no disables ftw), and when being hit by Malzahars ulti (Malzahar ults me, but i used Ragnarok and it was k.)

Summoner Spells

Best Summoner Spells on Olaf

I choose exhaust because you can easily 1v1 with Olaf when using this. Put this on thier fed AD/AP carry in teamfights.

Escaping, chasing, towerdiving.

Good Summoner Spells on Olaf

When solo laning, saving turrets and pushing. A pretty good summoner spell.

This is a great summoner spell, but it feels like tops this a little. Even if you get super speed with no collision you cant go through walls.

Ignite those evil and the irritating *****es who run away from you with 1% HP left.

Bad Summoner Spells on Olaf

Heal.. its only good in early game, then it becomes useless. You have lifesteal for gods sake!

You're not dependant on mana.

Give this to your support.

Which items and why?

EARLY GAME

We need to be tough early game, so we start with shield and keep it until the last item.

AD and HP, what more can we ask for?

Tenacity and magic resist. Good for swedish VIKINGS!

Mid Game

Even more HP and AD, and we slow attackers on hit. Great!

We take our all our base HP and our 820+ HP from items and get AD out from it. We also get some armor and crit chance. Nice!

Catalyst the Protector
Even dough we are not mana dependant we still need this for HP and HP restoring when leveling up. We're gonna build this up to .

Late Game

One of the best items in the game. A spell shield, hp, mana and magic resist. Love this item!

Attack speed, life steal, -armor debuff. AWESOME!

**** **** ****! Epic item! Gives you a total of 1370 health and 45 health regen/sec. Works great combined with .

Runes

Marks - Greater Mark Of Desolation x9
Armor Penetration OWNS!

Seals -
In my opinion armor is the best Seals. Some people tend to go crit chance on these, but i think it's nonsence.

Glyphs -
Everyone loves Magic Resist, its for real VIKINGS! And its good early game and can be useful late game.. maby.

Quintessences - Greater Quintessence of Desolation
Armor Penetration OWNS!

Summary of Runes

I choose these runes because we want to deal damage and be a little beefy too. I choose Armor Pen Quintessences over Flat AD because Armor Pen gives so much more.

Teamfights

In teamfights you are the one whos going in first after your tank. Try to focus thier tank with your then head over to thier AD/AP carry. Pop and and take them down pretty easily. Then focus thier support, or if thier tank is still alive try to kill him first with your TRUE DAMAGE!

Summary

Olaf is one of the top offtanks in League Of Legends. He can take much damage and deal much damage back. He got lifesteal ability so hes not that dependant of health pots and **** early game. He is a great 1v1 and can easily solo baron at level 18.
