Champion Build Guide
Threats?
When I first made this I had a comprehensive list of jungle matchups along with W interactions. I also had a full list of support matchups but these weren't saved because. I don't feel like retyping all of that but I might in the future.
DMP First item
Dead man's first item works really well with Poppy to give some front end damage and guarantee Q2 to hit. Along with the Base damage tweaks it made it a better early item for Poppy. Even after it's nerfs it still is a solid first item that gives you more than enough mobility.
No Locket
Locket is an activatable requiring your team to group, this doesn't happen too often in solo queue and immolate items give you the much needed wave clear that poppy lacks going into the late game. If you need to protect a carry take knights vow. If you are having trouble with an enemy carry, take anathema's chains and focus them.
Poor Support matchups
Artillery mages are your natural counter. Into these matchups I use the guardian runes and buy an early knights vow. With these items you brush off most long ranged poke. These Matchups include Vel'Koz, Xerath, and Lux. Other artillery mages are manageable without specific itemization.
Triumph or Presence of Mind
Many builds don't bring any Mana Sustain. If you can manage without take triumph to go for more bold tower dives and more sustain late game.
