Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This what my build looks like when I am playing dominion as[[poppy].
I like to play this way because it grants you the ability to deal loads of damage while still being able to survive.
I also saw that there are a lot of AD builds for Poppy out there but not really a good hybrid build.
Devastating Blow and Heroic Charge are your main damage dealers. This is why you will want to use these runes:
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Greater Seal of Ability Power
Greater Glyph of Ability Power
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
These AP masteries will improve the strenght of your Devastating Blow and Heroic Charge. Alacrity and Weapon Expertise are to make sure your enemy does not get away after you have performed your combo.
- Sheen grants an extra powerful hit after using your Heroic Charge and Devastating Blow.
- Boots of Mobility are very nice when playing Poppy, enemies are more easy to kite, resulting in more wall-smashing stuns.
- Trinity Force is just perfect for Poppy. It grants some extra overall power for when your enemy is not dead after using your devestating combo.
- Hextech Gunblade grants extra power and survivability. When you just finished someone off you will be likely to be on low HP. Killing some minions will solve that.
Ghost is a must for Poppy, it will make kiting a lot easier. Which is the key to success. It will also make it easier for you to flee when you think you cant handle the enemy. It's also a good thing to be able to rescue a capture point from hostile takeover in time.
Heal is nice when you are very low on HP and don't have the Hextech Gunblade yet to recover your HP in dire situations. Your teammates wont complain either.
Exhaust is a good alternative for Heal because it will make it easier for you to kite the enemy or escape a fight that you can not win.
This build allows you to kill enemy champions with only 2 hits. With all these passages in the Crystal Scar it is possible to kill an enemy with full health while you have only 10hp or so. They simply wont be able to react in time. Just knock your enemy against the wall and smash them with your hammer and they are done for. When the enemy is a tank and has too much HP to be dead that quickly, just perform your combo and turn around. Wait for the cooldowns to refresh and do it again. That will do the trick.
