Hi, My name is FourRIX, and welcome to my Support Zyra guide! This is my first guide on MOBAFire, and I hope it will be helpful. Zyra has become a very popular support, Enjoy!
Pros / Cons
- Very good CC and mobility
- Good engage/disengage
- Late game off APC
- Very squishy
- Skillshoots necessary
Items / Build
Starting Items: -> -> Sight Ward -> Sight Ward
Early Game: Philosopher's Stone -> -> -> Kage's Lucky Pick
Mid Game: -> -> -> Shard of True Ice -> Shurelya's Reverie ->
Crystalline Flask gives you some replenish-able potions, i have not found a better way to start yet. In late game before u buy Zhonya's Hourglass u will sell this item cause u dont need it anymore.
This is the key item of any support, Philosopher's Stone gives u 5 gold evry 10 secounds, lets you harass more and recover enemy harassment.
Kage's Lucky Pick
This Item is the secound key item of AP supports, Kage's Lucky Pick gives u also 5 gold evry 10 secounds and gives u Ability Powers.
Mercury's Treads are really great aggainst CC supports somthing like Alistar, Blitzcrank, Leona, Taric.
If u are laning aggainst a Janna, Sona, Soraka just get Boots of Mobility for high mobility to place your wards.
This 2 Items are new in S3, after getting Boots of Speed you should rush Sightstone
to get some free wards and save money on mid game/lategame items.
Shard of True Ice
is an new item. It will not help very much during the laning phase as it requires someone to be in melee range. But when you are joined by your jungler this will be awesome.
This is the transition out of our Philosopher's Stone, GP10 in midgame/lategame is not necessary anymore so we go for Shurelya's Reverie, it gives CDR, more extra health, and a really nice active that can help with mobility.
Make Sure to get Zhonya's Hourglass for sure, you get a good amount of armor and ability power
and u can survive sometimes, this item makes u to an off APC.
If u read the guide until here u should know that this build has no 6th item! That's because as a support, you should almost have free place for Sight Ward, if the tribush, the river next to Dragon or baron is dark your job is not done! Is there Evelyn, Shaco or maybe Rengar in enemy team? No problem! Just make sure to buy a Vision Ward.
If allready midgame started and your top/jungler don't bought an Oracle's Elixir allready just get one and play very carefully, an Oracle's Elixir on Zyra is like an already packed surprice for the enemy.
The damage from Zyra's plants scales from the number of points she has in the related skill, so because we prioritize Grasping Roots our Vine Lashers will make a nice damage to the enemy, if an enemy ADC/Jungler/Support looking to engage, just use a Rampant Growth+ Grasping Roots combo for an disengage, if the support is out of position or is camping the brush u can aggain use your combo, if the enemy ADC or Support are low on heath try to use your combo to help your ADC to kill them.

Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Gold
Greater Mark of Armor and Greater Seal of Armor are here to get less damage from the enemy ADC.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist is for reducing the poke of the enemy support in early game, as well as avoiding getting stomped by APC later.
Greater Quintessence of Gold is the key of a support, you won't be taking any kills or CS as support, u will get your gold from assists, GP10s and Quints.
