Threats to Morgana with this build
|Bard||This champion is brand new and currently very few can play Bard to his max potential but this lane is very simple with Morgana, just E when he goes from stuns and poke him out of lane. And if you are lucky bard will be in the jungle looking for his "Charms"(Looking for a high) and you can 2v1 the enemy's ADC and blow her apart.|
Introduction - Who I am
I am a support main on NA servers and prior to this season I have only played league as a spotty hobby where I saw myself playing a game or two a month where I made it into gold for season 3 and season 4 and as of this season I played really hard for about a week and climbed through my promos and gold to plat in about a weeks time. I main Morgana support and I am very confident in my ability to play this champion in multiple roles and match-ups. Thanks for reading my guide. (Across my Main and 3 smurfs I am 55-22 with Morgana support)
You max Q first off because That ***********er will snare someone longer than a 25 minute death timer, Going E or W second can be a tricky situation, personally I prefer to go E second in order to keep a strong black shield on my teammates during a team fight in the mid game but W is also good for aoe dmg and spell vamping health back up. Although if you are facing a heavy pick comp I would just level E second in order to avoid those picks due to Black shield being a counter to all CC and magic damage.
For soloQ I have a very unique way of playing this champion where I take a dominant stance in lane by poking hard with AA, Q, and W pre 6 which results in my ADC getting ahead early and then When I get Mobis I push lane with w and auto (make sure to let your adc still last hit) then roam mid or start getting deep wards inside the enemy's jungle so we have established vision for making rotations to mid or bot tower or a window to secure a early dragon and start snowballing our lead. If you have a strong adc like Graves and he gets heavily ahead early you can even make a roam to the top lane to get your island up there snowballing to make more of a effect in the game during the late game.
Pros / Cons
The Pros of Morgana is her strong early game poke and the threat she poses in lane with her Q's time. She is a very strong laner if you have the skill to hit skill shots and are good a using your E effectively in each match-up to insure you can maintain strong aggression in lane.
The biggest con of Morgana can be her early game Cool downs which allows strong champions with sustain and low CD pokes like Nami, Sona, and Zyra to easily poke and force Morgana to surrender her early game aggression and force her to play passive and around her Black Shield. The biggest mistake by most Morgana players is that they do not play effectively around their Black shield's cool down which causes them to lose or even feed their lane.
In the mid to late game team fighting environment your main role will be peeling for your back line which is severely easy if you use your Q, Frost Queen active, Ult, and Black Shield to peel for your Mid and Adc. If your front line is dominant enough to peel for you and your teams dps back line than you should protect your front line by spamming Black Shield on them to protect them from poke and allowing them to have a stronger engage by being able to avoid CCs from the enemy's front and back line.
Also if you have Hour Glass and feel confident enough in your front line to peel for your carries you can flash in, Ult, and Hourglass to disrupt the enemies set-up and give your team a strong engage on the enemy team's carries (If you want to make sure to trap a certain player in your ult chain make sure to flash in only after hitting a max skilled Q on the desired player to delete from the fight.
