Champion Build Guide

Sonic Critboom Hecarim

By HoesBeforeBros69
Introduction
Henlo Frens, and welcome back to a new glorious guide on how to League of Legends. This time featuring Sonic-critboom-Hecarim.
Sonic-critboom-Hecarim, also called Critcarim, is a midgame beast with insane burst, mobility and carry potential. This build is not particularly difficult regarding the mechanics but whether to decide when is the right time to engage (spoiler: if you see an enemy it is the right time to engage).
This V8 beast makes Sonic wish he had more legs.
So buckle up me fellas on yet another great adventure of how do I lose my elo with 300 km/h.
lore
Once upon a time there was a ***** dude who fell in love with his V8 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The result of this forbidden love was a creature with the upper body of a man and the engine and speed of a german car.
From young age onwards Heca was fascinated by racing. His dad would take him to every illegal street race there was. When only 34 horespower old, he wanted to open a burrito shop. Due to the inability to chop onions without crying he instead decided to become the fastest racer and racecar there is.
In his first race at 269 horsepower old he was disqualified when he lost controll by mistake and crashed in the grandstand resulting in the death of 50.000 people and probably around 2 million cans of beer. Heca was given the choice of either being punished for the death of those beers, I mean people, or to work for the italian government.
After 3 long years of hard labour consisting of transporting olives, he ironically escaped when a truck that transported burritos crashed into him. Leaving some parts of himself at the crash site he was found dead.
First he got a Hot Wheels tatoo so he would not be recognized by others. Later he participated in the illegal races he saw in his youth. Those where hosted by non other than Pimp-Jax. Seeing his potential, he offered him a job where he could race as fast as he wanted without being punished but instead rewarded for running over people.
Heca, now 420 horsepower old, happily accepted and became „Hecarim - the shadow of war“ in League of Legends, since his alias „Hecarim - your mom gay, lol“ was not suited for the rift.
And if he did not die, he still runs over Vayne-mains to this day happily ever after.
The end.
spells

Warpath: Hecarim go fast – damage go brrr

Spirit of Dread: funny aura, heal for a part of the dmg you deal around you

Onslaught of Shadows: dash and do aoe damage, fearing the enemy with the sound of your mighty engine
facts
Abilities

Hecarim - Shadow of the street
melee, assassin, fast, burst, mobility, fast, jungler
speed: faster than me in bed, lol
weakness: onions, increasing gas prices
emotion when Critcarim approaches: fear

Hecarim is desinged to be a melee fighter. However he was not blessed with this glorious engine to soak enemy damage. Critcarim ignores his team and focuses on being fast and deadly. With your core item Rapid Firecannon combined with his Devastating Charge, Critcarim reaches a proud attack range of 578. That is more attack range than Varus. E also provides him with the much needed ability to reach squishy enemies. Once in melee, there is little a puny adc can do to stop this train of agony. Devastating Charge, Essence Reaver, Rapid Firecannon and a crit can result in a jucy drive by oneshot. Onslaught of Shadows can also be used to insec enemies by dashing behind them to knock them back, though it is most of the time no needed since you will oneshot those who did not invest in noble stats like armor and health.
You do have some teamfight potential and aoe damage but remember that you are frail.
pros
+ fast
+ gud gap closer
+ high damage output
+ utility with R
+ did i mention fast?

Hecarim might not have the best damage output when compared to other champs. But unlike other bruisers he has an ability that not only grants him ms but also increases his attack range. Combined with Rapid Firecannon he is able to reach an attack range other can only dream of. The few poor souls surviving his burst are then forced in a fieldmatch of boxing. With Rampage Critcarim can constantly proc his Essence Reaver to deal out tons of damage.
Remember to use Onslaught of Shadows if you see enemy CC incoming since your ult will make you imune to it while casting.
cons
+ squishy
+ falls off
+ slows are bad mkay
+ bad against tanks

Hecarim does not bring much to the table when facing a tank. His itembuild is heavily dependend on squishy enemies since he has his insane burst for only one autoattack. Afterwards he is taken down faster than a bruiser Taric takes down a Nick.
You are not getting ahead early? You are going to have a bad time. Your Botlane feeds as usual? You are going to have a bad time. Your Yasuo spams mastery 7 all the time? You are going to have a bad time.
Bruiser vs Crit

bruiser
VS

chad crit
Better way to play Hecarim if you want to rely on your typical soloque team. Yeah, mediocre strat. Bruiser Heca can distribute a fair amount of damage but the more tanky you need to build since the enemy is fed again the less you are likely to carry the game.
Just play crit if you are cool.
Critcarim is a less effective but more fun way to play Hecarim. Imagine yourself as a raging Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger II and the Vayne main in front of you as a deer on the road being unable to move just staring at an inevitable death.
Unlike normal Hecarim, building crit provides you the most midgame carry potential. Worth mentioning, it do be satisfying to run at the enemy with 600+ movementspeed and further increasing your attack range with your rapidfire gun on top of your attacking them from further than most ranged losers can attack.
„The f**k is this?“, ~ some ADC. Probably.
item variation
Regarding his items you have quite the variation for your last item, as long as you build Rapid Firecannon, Essence Reaver and Infinity Edge but I do recommend to buy 80% crit rate. Duskblade of Draktharr is also viable for more reliable oneshots at the cost of tankiness.
health
armor
magic resist
damage
early game
The early game is pretty basic. Farm all the way up to 2-3 items, steal some kills, then have fun. Imagine yourself being a Master Yi. But with less scaling. And lower impact. And no reliable damage. Wait, why am i making this guide again?
mid game
If you followed step one, your midgame should start around the 12 min mark. By then you should have 2 items + boots. If not, you can at least surrender in 3 minutes.
If however you got your items prepare for some sweet sonic critbooms kills. Use Predator + Ghost, charge up your Devastating Charge and enjoy flying into the enemy adc leaving just a mass of meat and bones. And believe me when i say this more fun than being nice to your mother. Maybe you should call her more often.
late game
If you reach this far, you gonna have a hard time. Since rito decided everyone gets a sh*t ton of hp and resistances for free, your damage falls off. Everyone trying to be tank these days. Most of your damage comes from a single attack and if you can't oneshot the target you will most likely be useless.
Try to engage with maximum A C C E L E R A T I O N, oneshot a squishy target and get out of there with your Onslaught of Shadows.
conclusion
Hecarim is the fastest champ in the game. He might not have the biggest biceps but the greatest tigh muscles. With V8 he tramples over his foes. Building crit results in these juicy damage numbers making the enemy healthbar shatter like the healthbar in streetfighter.
If you play Hecarim you might hear him say „War is eternal.“ This is actually a reference to the time when he was still making burritos meaning the never ending fight of humanity against the inner voice of man desiring to play with bionichles and pokemon cards.
So go out there and show adc mains how useless there role is. If you are lucky we might see each other in Bronze soloque since i got demoted again.
Peace.
