I like the idea of tankgar, been experimenting myself with this and what I found to be true for me is that armor runes combined with frozen hearth work like a shine vs AD champs, and it might be worthwhile to get spellvamp quintessence and WoTa, been experimenting a lot with this with good results.

Nice guide but i think Warmog's Armor doesnt work on Veigar even late game, better take something really usefull like a Zhonya's Hourglass for when they start focus you.
I also think these masteries are wrong on Veigar , he dosnt need all that cdr or spell vamp.



Better organize the runes section.

XX- Everyone does have armor and magic pen but not everyone is going to be able to build a Void Staff or Infinity Edge to counter most of your armor or mr. And that's like saying that there's no point in building AD because someone can just get a thornmail. The armor and mr vs. health debate rages and continues to rage, but you need some of all three not just health. Adding armor and mr decreases the effective health that you need. Veigar is also dependent on items because he possesses zero innate tankiness. I'm not suggesting you replace Warmog's with full tank items. Your a mage first and foremost. I'm suggesting you go for hybrid items such as Zhonya's Hourglass and Athene's Unholy Grail. You already have quite a bit of health through RoA anyway.

Hmm, Rod of Ages does give you better stats, and I did say that I never seem to notice the slow. I guess I get it so I can buy that quick Giant's Belt for the huge health boost.

And everyone seem to be forgetting that EVERYONE has armor/magic penetration, rendering some of yor armor/MR useless. Unless you're going to replace the Warmog's Armor and Rylai's Crystal Sceoter with the full Force of Nature and Frozen Heart/ Randuin's Omen, then you're not going to make it worthwile. Even by doing so, you're losing a ton of health and a decent amount of AP.

Another "tank-mage" build that isn't really a tank mage build at all. Warmog's and Rylai's to not a tank make. I think that these sorts of builds ARE viable, don't get me wrong. But everyone is going about it the wrong way.

I seriously don't think a Warmog's Armor makes tank, but I like the idea.

I'd still get another RoA instead of Rylais. Since you're supposed to deep****nuke everyone the slow is useless, IMO. And the RoA gives more hp, mana and equal AP.
Otherwise get Athene's Unholy Grail. No HP, but AP and some MR. Just in case.
