Standard Armor Penetration for Marks:
Greater Mark of Desolation x 9 = 14.94 Armor Penetration
I go with defensive glyphs and seals:
-my preference on glyphs is MR per level because you have a very good burst and control early game with rake and boots :
x 9 = 1.35 Magic Resist per level (Total of 24.3 Magic Resist at level 18)
Later on, the per level gain is quite handy to have since i don't build defensive items until late game.
-for seals, i keep flat armor glyphs:
x 9 = 12.69 flat Armor
and finally for Quintessences, i go with mobility (as for me it is critical on Talon) :
x 3 = +4.5% Movement Speed Bonus, added to and , this becomes a very neat 464 Movement Speed !

For masteries, the utility tree is a question of tastes, but as talon you often find yourself required to solo top, and in the eventuality that you die, i find
to be a tower saver.
Some of you will insist that is not a real good mastery but since we're talking about Talon, and again him staying solo top often, i consider that it is a good investment. Even more when you consider the huge cost of :

Ok, let's get this straight, this is my personal view on the matter :
+
"There is no Plan B." : those are the only viable options for Talon in my opinion.
I understand it can be subject to personal tastes but for me this it (even though my Flash skills are lower than i'd like, it's still the way to go).

As i was saying earlier, mobility is your trump card, you do an insane amount of damage but if you're dead, what's the point right? getting in and out of fights is where talon's greatest strength lies (mainly with
) but it is also is weakness, he goes CQC (Close Quarter Combat) and often gets focused -as soon as the enemy realizes what big a threat you really are.
are therefore a nice addition to your champ, but to compensate the loss of tenacity bonus, and thanks to the Riven Patch modifications, is now a must have on Talon IMHO.
To start with and Health Potx3 gives you just enough to be a pain on your lane, survive and harass. Getting 3x is a personal preference, IMO the health, AD and LS makes Talon an incredible harass and laning champ.
Upgrading your boots to then increases further your mobility, but going to first is up to you depending on the amount of CC champs in the enemy team and how focused you are by them.
I then try to buy items like this : damage / utility / damage / utility / etc.
Going with B.F. Sword first gets you to hit harder, and once is done, the enemy just melts under your burst damage.
Getting some more AD with and then transforms you into... well what you'd rather not fight against simply put.
Finishing first, because you already crit quit often and going for those extra 50% bonus damage is simply the quickest damage upgrade.
You then need to finalize and this is where i'll leave the two last items up to you, i usually go defensive depending on the enemy team composition and threats.
My preferred items are usually and but it REALLY depends on the enemy team.

To finish this, i'd like to add one last thing : you are a very powerful champ on your own, but in teamfights, you are a sick damage dealer.
I really insist on this because i think most people play Talon as a lone wolf kinda champ, and this is really a mistake, striking with a teammate or more, gets you even more dramatically dangerous for the enemy team.
Thank you for reading, don't be too harsh, 1st guide, and if you find anything wrong, don't hesitate to comment :)
