Teemo Passive Ability
Introduction
Hello and welcome to my first guide. Teemo was one of the first champions I played, reason been i seen him in a game and how much damage he done for a little champion grabbed me! I quickly learned how fun he is to play. While exceeding at stealthy sneak attacks and able to get out of most sticky situation with ease, he also exceeds in team fights and mid lane to grab the early lead.
I must add that this will be an on going guide . I will be adding to it all the time while i experiment with Teemo ^_^
I have included all the items i use , not genuinely in one game but in different situations. I feel like all them items are useful in some way and its up to you what choice you go with. I will describe later in the guide why i use them items.
Pros
+ Excellent escape abilities. (shroom slow, increase speed skills)
+ Blind ability. (shuts down melee champ with ease)
+ One of the fastest champs in the game. (survivability chances increased)
+ Free wards due to shrooms.
+ Very fun to play with.
+ Great farming ability. Runaan's Hurricane
Cons
- Squishy can be 1 shot end game.
- Always focused.
- Short range. (compared to other ranged)
- Can be shut down by Oracle's Elixir / Vision Ward
Speed + Power= Fast damage!
Runes
Teemo is a very squishy champion, the combination of the items you buy and your runes will make you beefier and harder to kill in the process. the reason i take armor and health is that it gives you a much better survival chance at end game. That extra health + Armor is what will save you in a team fight or from a gank.
Lets go over a few Key Items that is used in this Build & the Core items and why we should take them.
Doran's Blade Starting Mid with Teemo a lot of players would rather buy pots and survival ability's to keep in lane and not going back so fast. I play and farm massive , its the main thing i do in game as it provides so much help in late game through gold. Reason i take Doran's Blade is that i get up mid as fast as i can and stand still further in the enemy's side and use [teemo] passive Camouflage. In doing so when your enemy comes up at the start of the game your in prime position to 1) Get a fast early kill or 2) Massive harassment so that your opposition needs to pot up already or go back to base if they haven't got any pots. Not forgetting it restores health each hit.
Runaan's Hurricane This is the focus of the build. The passive of applying on-hit effects (such as Toxic Shot) to two additional targets makes you suddenly a very large threat in team fights, as well as an amazing farmer. The reason we rush this item is the insane farming potential. We will sacrifice early game damage, but its worth it in mid/late game when you can complete a full build much faster than anyone else due to having the most CK (Creep Kills)
Rabadon's Deathcap ....120Ap... I dont really have to say much more. We have built a decent amount of AP, lets give it a massive boost! Most people like to take this item first, but as it scales with the amount of AP you have, I prefer to take it mid game when you can farm the gold within a few minion waves. This item speaks for itself and is a must for any champion who needs AP.
Liandry's Torment While this item does NOT proc from Toxic Shot, this will give your shrooms a MASSIVE punch as it will whittle down the enemy's HP much faster than usual due to the additional DoT and slow. A Highly recommended item but dont forget to shroom everywhere!
Lich Bane this item allows for the combo of Move Quick to proc Lich Bane then use Blinding Dart then another auto attack for the second Lich Bane proc; depending on the other items in your build this should nuke a good amount of champions from full to 0 very quickly. The combination of Lich Bane + Runann's Hurricane gives your team a massive edge in team fights.
Deathfire Grasp this item has potential as it gives massive ap,cdr and a powerful active to nuke people with, experiment with it if you like as this helps to take down tankier champions. It is usually one of the last items i buy but nocks AP up another 120
Camouflage Camouflage
If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for 2 seconds, he becomes stealthed indefinitely. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 40% for 2 seconds.
One of the best passive's in the game Use it to rush to your lane at the start of the game and become a living ward, providing sight for your teammates in the bushes, or for a sneak attack. Remember the 40% increase attack speed for 2 seconds! Also if your been chased Move Quick into a bush and stand still... Gone.
Blinding Dart
Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing damage to the target unit and causing all attacks to miss for the duration. Deals 80/125/170/215/260 (+0.8 AP) magic damage and causes the target to miss all of their attacks for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds.
I put an early level 2 point into this skill. It helps with our harass, does damage and blinds which is great against any melee who chase you or for preventing gold farm in your lane. If your playing against for example Katarina this shuts her farm down and makes life hard for her.
Move Quick
Passive: Teemo's Movement Speed is increased by 10/14/18/22/26% unless he has been damaged by an enemy champion or turret in the last 5 seconds. Active: Teemo sprints, gaining twice his normal bonus for 3 seconds. This bonus is not lost when struck.
Fourth point goes in here and max it third. The amazing movement speed boost helps early game from Jungle champs and can also give you that extra movement to get early kills.
Toxic Shot
Teemo's basic attacks poison their target, dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+0.3 AP) magical damage upon impact and 6/12/18/24/30 (+0.10 AP) magical damage each second for 4 seconds.
First point here and this skill should be maxed first after our mushrooms. The majority of our damage will come from this skill. This skill also let's us run away from a fight and still end up killing the enemy with the DoT. With the recent buff to this skill, attack speed is now even more important taking chunks of life away I like to put our first point here because it makes getting last hits extremely easy and harassment on enemy players is great
Noxious Trap
Uses a stored mushroom to place a trap that detonates if an enemy steps on it, spreading poison to nearby enemies that slows movement speed by 30/40/50% and deals 200/325/450 (+0.8 AP) magic damage over 4 seconds. Traps last 10 minutes, Teemo can store a maximum of 3 traps on his at once.
ultimate, you should put a point in here whenever it become available. As an AP Teemo, these mushrooms hurts...A lot. I can't even count how many kills I've received while back at my base or running around the map and "You have slain an enemy " comes up - make sure place them in high traffic areas where minions are not likely to burst them. I have put a Map up for placement in another Chapter.
