Laning phase (Pre-6)

vs Melee
Farm your minions and try to avoid trading, unless they draw creep aggro.

vs Ranged
Try to pick off a creep or two while heavily juking any abilities.

Laning phase (Level 6+)

Step 1 - Ask your Jungler or Mid laner to gank your lane
Step 2 - Retreat from lane
Step 3 - Get Homeguard boots
Step 4 - Teleport in, followed by your jungler/mid laner coming to gank
Step 5 - Use your E as a stun, use your ult as a fear.

Get kills.

What if i die? (Revive + TP Combo)

Make sure you have tons of movement speed (Homeguard, Trinity)
Then pop your revive and tp to any lane, your movement speed is increased by +125% by revive, so your damage will be insane.

What kind of playstyle should i adapt in lane?

Unlike most AD, Hecarim is a burst-type champion, operating from his own fountain, using your Homeguard in the beginning of a fight will burst your opponent down a considerable amount, and thanks to your basic attacks you can keep hammering away at them, thanks to your movement speed they have no escape.
