Introduction

Introduction

Welcome to my first guide here on MOBAfire!

Since the Fury remake my view on Tryndamere has changed, and i hereby present it for you!
By reading this you will not learn loads of tips and tricks, buy you will learn how i play
jungle Tryndamere and get a new idea on how to build him! Most of it will probably be old news for those who are already familiar with Tryndamere but the jungling and item choices might be new to you, so try it out! To the others, i hope it will give u an idea on how to do the jungle Tryndamere!

My way to play tryndamere works in the lane as well, but i prefer jungling with him!

Runes

Runes

greater mark of desolation: Armor penetration marks really helps out in those early ganks! Greater Mark of Attack Speed is viable as well to speed up your jungling.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: Surviving is the key to victory, though Greater Glyph of Attack Speed is viable to.
Greater Seal of Armor: You need these to survive the jungle!
greater quintessence of desolation: Rip them squishies open!

Summoner Spells

Summoner Spells

If you wan't to lane, just change Smite for Cleanse.

Flash: Without question the best spell in LoL, forgives your mistakes and can also help you snatch up that runner, it lets you do anything!
space
Smite: You need smite to jungle, if you don't want smite, don't jungle.
space
Cleanse: Even though Flash is superior in most cases, Some players might find themselves being CCed to death over and over again, Cleanse is just what allows you to counter that and continue going banana crazy on your enemies!

Ability Explanation

Ability Explanation

PASSIVE: This is just wonderful, at full fury u get 35% crit, and that's a lot! Try to attack creeps to get full fury before engaging a fight.

ABILITY ONE (Q): Not only does this help speed up your jungle, but it also makes you hit like a truck when going into undying madness! Only use this as a panic button earlygame since the heal is very limited in early levels, and since it consumes your fury it will make u hit less hard and therefore life steal less, u want to keep the fury up all the time during your jungling, don't fear to use it though if u know the fury will fade before u can engage combat again.

ABILITY TWO (W): Combine this with red buff to easily pick up some early kills. It's best to use while chasing, but in lategame you want to use it at the beginning of a fight to reduce incoming damage.

ABILITY THREE (E): Chase flee or damage, its your call! Remember that since u get a lot of crit towards midgame, this will most likely be off cd most of the time so don't fear to use it as a positioning tool in team fights.

ABILITY FOUR (R): This is what makes people want to puke on you, and cry blood in their chairs. Getting used to this takes alot of practise and you need to evaluate your situation before using it, do they have any hard cc left? How much damage will i be able to inflict during those 5 seconds? Using this as an escape tool is not making the most of it in a teamfight, it's the other way, this is what will let you continue beating on people! It can change the tides of a battle if timed correctly; it's a tool of destruction. Remember that it can also be used while stunned, suppressed or silenced.

Ability Sequence Order

Ability Sequence Order

> > >

Max Spinning Slash first for early damage, though we put 2 points in Bloodlust first for more sustained jungling. i take one point in Mocking Shout at level 4 and taking Undying Rage whenever i can.

Items

Items

Item Sequence

Mercury's Treads 1100
Bloodthirster 3400
Youmuu's Ghostblade 2700
Infinity Edge 3300
Warmog's Armor 3100
Atma's Impaler 2300

When i lane with tryndamere, the situation decides what i buy, Doran's Shield might come in handy or Brawler's Gloves and 2 Health Potion, it's kind of up to you, and after that the items are all the same.

Core items

: To counter that CC i've been mentioning, and to get some more survivability against those casters.

: This will help you alot in your early ganks, and give u some CDR aswell, later we build it into Youmuu's Ghostblade, it will give us the crit and attackspeed we want on a steroid, that will help us chase down runners as well!

: This is what we build out of our Vampiric Scepter, it gives you the life steal you need to sustain yourself, and tons of damage! some people would rather build the scepter into Wriggle's Lantern , and if you do, i'd suggest you skip out on The Brutalizer aswell as [youmuu's ghostblade]]

: This is what makes you wreck balls mid/late game! More crit, Loads of more AD and 250% crit damage, yummy... although if you're a AS/Movement/crit fanboy, Phantom Dancer is viable aswell, i just prefer giving up on that as for more damage on the hits!

Want to go defense lategame or not? = Atma's or not?

: This is almost the reason why i made this guide, i realized that with this, Infinity Edge, Youmuu's Ghostblade and my passive, i get 95% crit, and that is more than enough, you don't ever need 100% and I've grown tired of going straight damage with tryndamere, since it isn't viable in endgame, sure u got 5 seconds of fame but then what?, getting survivability as well as damage sounds good to me. Therefore i get this, it gives me 45 armor and a good passive that lets me getting another defence item but still getting some more damage!

Luxury Defensive Items

Ideally We will want to get an item that include health to synergize with Atma's Impaler

: AD heavy team? get this, it also gives you a nice passive for the teamfights!

: Want the most AD u can get out of your Atma's Impaler as well as ****loads of health to save u from both magic and physical damage? get this, this is what i get in 7/10 cases, if the game isn't ended yet..

: This is an amazing item too, it can save u from that CC and reduces magic damage, it's a sweet deal!

: Grab this if that hard CC is going to far!

Luxury Offensive Items

Note: If u take Atma's Impaler, Frozen Mallet is the best offensive item here since it got health to go with the passive from atma's, if u want any of the other items i suggest you skip atma's since then you won't be making the most out of it.

: The slow combined with your Mocking Shout will make it impossible to escape from you!

: If they're stacking more armor than you can penetrate for suitable damage, get this to counter it even further!

: It's like made for tryndamere!

: Want AS/Crit/Movement?

Jungling

Jungling

I follow the first route in stonewall008's Tryndamere jungling video!

Though, if u run the runes i choose, i suggest you skip taking those 2 young lizards at the red buff, you are most likely to die when you encounter those golems if you've taken damage at red first.

But if you run with Greater Mark of Attack Speed and Greater Glyph of Attack Speed instead of my primary choices, you are likely to be able to kill those 2 lizards, personally i don't think it matters, you trade faster jungling for better gank-ability and survivability, it's up to you!

Teamfights

Teamfights

Your job is not to engage a teamfight, though if you see one of their carries overextending, spin in and make a shot for it. During the fight pop your Undying Rage when your close to death and continue releasing insane damage for five seconds, timing the ultimate is crucial! When the ultimate fades of is when you should use your bloodlust[] to heal yourself and hopefully the battle's outcome have been decided. Remember to use [[mocking shout to reduce incoming AD damage.

Something that counts for everyone in lol, don't overcommit and pull out if you know your chances of winning the fight is minimal, retreat and gather up for a counterattack by the turret.
