Introduction

This Twisted Fate guide is AP with a hint of AD added into it. I think Twisted Fate is a very fun character to play especially when you play him this way.

Runes

As you can see, I have added some attack speed into the rune setup. I really like having this attack speed in the seals with Greater Seal of Attack Speed - and 3 marks Greater Mark of Attack Speed- because you really want to get that 4th shot off with his autoattacks. By having this extra attack speed, getting that 4th shot off isn't too hard. The other reason why i like this attack speed in the seals is because I feel like having mana per 5 seals (standard on many AP's) is a waste on Twisted Fate. His blue card enables him to sustain his mana. Then i like Greater Mark of Magic Penetration for the last six marks for the magic pen. Having the extra AP with Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power is good for late game Twisted fate. The Greater Quintessence of Ability Power give Twisted Fate some extra early game AP.

Masteries

For masteries I like playing 30/0/0. When i first started using this build, i was playing 21/0/9 which still works well if you want to have more of that AP feel on Twisted Fate. I enjoy the 30 points in the attack mastery because it gives Twisted Fate a little more Attack Damage and Attack Speed.

Items

I like to start the game off with Boots and Health pots. You can start of with a Dorans Ring for the extra health if you would like but i feel like it just slows down his build.
I usually get Sheen right after my boots to build into Lich Bane. You do not need to build into the lich bane right away but i do suggest getting the sheen right after the boots. If you want to get the Nashor's Tooth before you finish the Lich Bane, thats fine. After the Nashor's Tooth, i like to get some lifesteal with the Hextech Gunblade. You can build into the revolver first, and go for another item before finishing the gunblade.
This build is mostely AP. However some people like to play more of a hybrid then what I show here. If you are one of those people then you do not NEED to get Rabadon's Deathcap. Instead of that, you can get the Guinsoo's Rageblade. This still gives AP but it gives some AD also along with some attack speed. You can also get the Rageblade instead of the nashors if you want some more AD.
I love getting Rylai's Crystal Scepter. It adds some health and AP but it also gives you a nice slow on those auto attacks. If their team is getting a little too tanky, you can replace Rylai's for Void Staff. This makes Twisted Fate a little more squishy but it will add damage. Some people like Zhonya's Hourglass for the armor. you can also get that if you would like to instead of Rylais.

Summoner Spells

I like Flash and Ignite for this build. Flash is always a must in my opinion, but ignite can be switched out for several other spells.

MUST HAVE
Flash

Good Spells

Ignite- This gives some extra damage and it is what I use the most for this build.

Ghost- This can be good because i find myself in many situations where im chasing someone down trying to hit them with that gold card. This will give you the edge to catch up with them. Also, if you happen to be a little to far away from the opponent when you ult towards them, Ghost can let you catch up to them.

Exhaust- This is good but for this build but I find ignite ot Ghost to be more useful. Exhaust can help you stay with them while you hit them with everything youve got.

Surge- If im not using ignite, i am using surge. I dont see many people use surge but i feel like it works extremly well in this build. It gives even more attack speed which helps you get that 4th attack off even sooner while giving you more AP which makes that 4th attack even stronger. Lets not forget that the extra AP can help all of the other skills as well.

Bad Spells

The rest of the summoner spells are prety useless in my opinion. If you want to get Teleport and be that guy to have a double teleport then go ahead. You dont need Heal Because you have the spell vamp and life steal. Revive is just pointles...

Farming

Farming is super easy with Twisted Fate. All you need to do is Red card with Pick A Card then you Wild Cards to get the rest of the minions. This will work when wild cards is level 2. All you do then is Pick A Card again and hit the blue card. Last hit with the blue card to get your mana back and then you can Red card and Q again. Rinse and repeat.

Twisted Fates Teleport

Destiny is an extremly useful skill for the entire team. When you press R once, all the of enemy players are revealed (invisible or not). Its like his own little [[chlairvoyance]. But what is better is that when you press it a second time (and you are within a 5500 radius) he will teleport right to your mouse. This can be very good for several different reasons.

Pros of Destiny
-If you are in your lane (middle lane), and you are not having much of an issue, just walk down the river a little bit, ping so your allies know where you are going and ult right behind the opponents in their lane. I like to do this especially when the team i am on is left without a jungler.

- If someone on the other team is starting to get away while your team is following, just press R and it's like you have a cv that is always following them.

-If you are in a sticky situation with no way out... Not a problem because Twisted Fate has his own build in Teleport. Just poof away- Now your here, and now your not.

-If your team needs that one last tower or the inhib down, just ult into it, kill it and run away.

Cons Of Destiny
-It takes some time to channel.
-A player may be able to run away from you before you actually get to them because they can see where you are going to land.

Pros / Cons

Pros

-Does alot of damage early game with his pokes. That makes it easy to jump right in and grab the kill. (doesnt even require a gank for that to work)

-The damage keeps up for the most part in late game

-Can do alot of damage to many people in team fights at the same time

Cons

-HE CAN BE VERY SQUISHY IF YOU DO NOT POSITION YOURSELF RIGHT- TF has a lot of range, make sure you stand back in a team fight and use that range. It can be very easy to get picked off early on in the team fight

-The build can get expensive and it can take a while to finish without farm
