Introduction

Hello there Summoners! My name is Tim (Timpaaaaow) in game (EU server) and this is my first guide. I've been playing Udyr for quite some time now and with this build I've had great success. I hope you enjoy reading and I'll be looking forward to hear your response. Let's get started then?

Runes

For runes I take:
x9 Armor penetration Marks Greater mark of Desolation (For the good damage it gives)
x9 Attack speed Seals Greater Seal of Attack Speed (Shred your opponents with this)
x9 Magic resist Glyphs Greater Glyph of Magic Resist (Reduce the incoming magic damage)
x3 Dodge Quints Greater Quintessence of Evasion (Sup, I dodge more than Jax)

Masteries

For Masteries I take a standard 21/9/0. The offense tree is just for raw power which will deal a huge amount of extra damage. In the defensive tree it is most important that you get the EVASION and NIMBLENESS. These two will increase your dodge rate even more!

Early game

It's game time ya'll! Start of with a Doran's Shield, turn your Turtle stance on (W) and head up top. (You want the solo lane, trust me) This means no FB. First Blood is something you should never ever give away, that is why you take Iron Mantle for level 1. You want to stay in lane for as long as possible, with Turlte stance and Doran's Shield it shouldn't be a problem. Get Wilding Claw for level 2 & 3 and then get a point in Blazing Stampede at level 4. Now you can start harassing your opponent. With your summoner spell Exhaust you might just get FB if it hasn't been given away already. Last hit minions as much as possible and head back to base when you reach 1000 gold. You should now get Madred's Razors Keep on farming, and if you push close to the enemy turret, go kill creeps in jungle. When you get 600 gold you should b once more and get Wriggle's Lantern. You should be around level 7-10. Go slay the dragon, take all the buffs if possible and farm until you have 850 gold. Now it's time for Ninja Tabi. Now you want to execute ganks with your team.

Mid game

With your Wriggle's Lantern you have an inbuilt ward. Use it at key locations such as the jungle to catch your enemies offguard and snatch a kill or two. You should be controlling the game at this point. Just keep on getting creep kills and watch the map for the neutral creep camps. Farm until you have enough for a Phage. With this, you will be able to gank your enemies and keep them from escaping cause of the slow it provides. Save up for a Trinity Force, this is your Core item! Means it is a must. The extra damage from Sheen will apply well to your Tiger stance. At this point most of my games were over, but if you are facing a team who are really stubborn and won't surrender, grab a Recurve Bow for the extra attack speed and build it into a Madred's Bloodrazor. Keep on farming, killing until you have enough for a Sword of the Divine. This gives extra attack speed and you will deal extra magic damage on every fourth attack. Use it's active to shred some1 like Jax to pieces.

Late game

Most of the enemies turret should be down. If the enemy team has alot of CC's I advise you to get Banshee's Veil before getting Randuin's Omen. Push you enemies back, keep them from escaping with Blazing Stampede and the active from Randuin's Omen. Ace them and take down their Nexus!

This is how most of your games will look like. If not, you are doing it wrong.

That is the game plan, but what about his actual abilities?

Yes right. To master Udyr you must be able to understand his abilities.

Passive: Bridge Between It can stack up to 3 times, each stack is achieved when you activate an abilty. You gain 3/6/9% extra Dodge chance and 10/20/30 extra Attack speed. With your Ninja Tabi and masteries + runes this gives a total of 28.5% Dodge chance! Now you're probably thinking "Holy ****, I'm gonna give this guy a go. Jax is getting superboring."

But wait.. there's more.

Q - Wilding Claw This ability is your everything! It's active shreds your target for an extra amount of magic damage.

W - Iron Mantle "****, i'm both low on mana and hp, what do I do?" Relax... With Wriggle's Lantern you'll be able to get back to full hp and mana faster than it takes you to go back to base. Just use the creeps in lane or jungle.

E - Blazing Stampede Ganking ability deluxe! It gives you extra movement speed for a short duration and stuns enemies for one second, and that.. is more than enough to take care of business.

R - Wingborne Storm I find this ability rather useless. This should be maxed last. It's still good cause it gives you aoe damage every 4th hit. But with Wilding Claw you more or less one hit creeps late, so it's not needed. Use it though to switch between abilities for your passive.

Summoner Spells

I go for Exhaust and Flash. Exhaust is for slowing enemies and making them useless in teamfights while I burst them down. Flash is your saviour in a tight spot along with Blazing Stampede. You will be impossible to catch up with, or run away from.

Alternatives: Ghost (You'll be a running Rammus)
Ignite (This isn't really needed, but if you want, go ahead.)

All exept the above are USELESS according to me. (But hey, that's just me ^^)

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Primal skin is epic.
Great initiator.
Great ganking skills.
You'll be dodging more than 1/4 of incoming attacks.
Mobile champ.
Cons:
Can be really hard to master.
Susceptible to CC's.
