Introduction


INFO: Going on vacation for 2 weeks, so i might be inactive during that period!

New Vayne skin! Finally. Im gonna make some new guide pictures with the new skin.


This build is aimed to give you MAXIMUM damage output! you will rip they're health away, and your enemies will be gone in seconds. And every buffy tank like Alistar wil have nightmares about you!

Hello and welcome to my Vayne guide! My name is Mathias and i am just a regular LoL player, now since i have been playing Vayne for quite some time i decided to share my expierience with you! First off, Vayne isnt an easy champion to play, ofcourse she only has 3 abillities to use. However its hard to position yourself to land a perfect Condemn. I have tried many times to fail my condemn and actually pushing them away from my team. Her mana is also a bit difficult fo master, because she has verry little amount of mana, so you dont wanna waste those vital Tumble's or Condemn's because you failed to hit a champion after you Tumbled.
This is my first guide so i really would like if you could support me!

Summoner's Wrath : For the upgraded Exhaust. Helps put in 1v1 fights, since it lowers armor and magic resist
Brute Force : For the early game boost, and help with minion farm and harrasment
Butcher : To help with last hit on minions.
Alacrity : Well its decent, but we only take it to get the once below it.
Weapon Expertise : Well 10% Armor Penetration is just epic, and its a must have for all AD.
Vampirism : Verry good all over the game, and with Doran's Blade you will have enough lifesteal to get a fair amount of health.
Sunder : More Armor Penetration, works well with Runes, and Weapon Expertise
Executioner : Good for vayne, works good with Silver Bolts

Potential Items




So my item setup might look a little confusing, so i will explain it to you here:)
So you start of with Doran's Blade, and then head down to your lane, when you got 920 gold you should start heading back, what i mean with the healing potions is that you should buy 1-2 depending on your money AFTER you bought Berserker's Greaves. Then get a Dagger, now when you headed back after buying your Berserker's Greaves TRY to stay as long in lane as you can until u can affort The Black Cleaver, if not then just go for the Dagger then B.F. Sword. Now when you come to Frozen Mallet your inventory will be full just sell the Dorans Blade instead. The reason why i put Frozen Mallet is that is give a OK amount of HP, PLUS damage, and the factor that it slows is a great bonus. because when your that into game your lifesteal is high enough to keep u alive, also the Elixir of Fortitude gives you health. Now IF you get money sell your Berserker's Greaves and buy Phantom Dancer instead, iw ownt hurt ur movement speed at all because Phantom Dancer gives movement speed.

My item choice explaned
Doran's Blade: This is very important for Vayne in the early laning, the lifesteal is also very good since when u also use my mastery setup you will start with 6% lifesteal, wich with that 10 damage will make u able to regenerate health rather qickly when autoattacking minions. Also the 100 extra health is verry good because Vayne is unbelivable squishy in the beginning, and also late game too though.
Berserker's Greaves: Well, standart AD Carry boots with good attack speed.
The Black Cleaver: Wauw, really a great weapon for Vayne, It has attack speed and AD wich is really good. Also the Passive is good against tanks, who we like us Vayne players. but also normal players, and with the attack speed we will get later on it will just get full stack in no time.
Phantom Dancer: Great Item for Vayne, the attack speed and critical strike gives Vayne an exeptional damage output. Also the attack speed helps proccing Silver Bolts faster to make Vayne more effective against those buffy tanks we dont like :P The movonent speed is als good with Vayne because it makes her move very fast when catching up to fleeing enemies. And late game when your buid is complete you can actually sell your boots and buy nother Phantom Dancer instead, since it gives movoment speed you will actually only gain movement speed because of that.
The Bloodthirster: Hands down, its the best lifesteal item in the game atm. And Vayne needs the lifesteal for durability and in fights. This is Vayne's life scource here and with the attack damage, you will gain ALOT of health verry quick! Just a very important item overall.
Infinity Edge: Great AD and the critical strike, this item will raise Vayne's damage output alot, because with that critical chance, from this and Phantom Dancer you will have a high crit chance plus AD.
Frozen Mallet: Well not my favorite item, but its fine, and the reasen i took it is becaouse of the health, and this health item is good because of its bonuses damage and slow.

My prefered rune build would be: Mark of desolation: Armor Penetration is VERY usefull all over the game, in the start game most champs have like 25-35 armor, and armor penetration is more effective than flat AD. So if u manage to get full runes as i recomend them you will almost be giving True AD to the other champions, wich is very good. Many people choose to take Mark of Alacraty, however i do not find them verry usefull since u wanna be last hitting minions early game, BUT they are good in early fight and they will give you some early advantage for proc'in Silver Bolts.

Seal of Replenishment: Vayne has a very small mana amount, and u dont wanna be in a fight and not having mana enough to use an abillity so this is very usefull. Ofc you could also get some attack speed or AD but i find this more usefull since i tried to run out of mana too many times...

Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: This is a good one, because Vayne has always been taken as a squishy one, and all those sick AP's like Fiddle or Xerath etc. They will be so big and powerfull and confident, but when they meet a Vayne like this they will have a big :O. And you will simply tear them apart.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation: well pretty much the same reason as marks, you could also get Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage, however my prefered choice would be Greater Quintessence of Desolation.

Summoner Spells





So the summoner spells. My choice is exhaust and Flash becauseu can use them both aggresive and defensive, now Flash is a must have for squishy champions, however u need to master Flash first.
My setup: Flash and Exhaust
New vayne: Ghost( Flash if mastered) and Heal
Medium vayne: Heal and Flash
Skilled vayne: Flash and Exhaust

For backdooring purposes choose: Flash and Teleport use teleport on a ward behind your enemies.


Cleanse is also considerable, but you really need to do those splitsecond reactions, and you really need to master this to do good with it.

Tumble skill




Tumble is a verry usefull skill, it can be used for catching up with enemies or fleeing from enemies, and it is also a very good damage and harrasment abillity. It has very low cooldown so you will be able to spam it late game. It is also good for last hitting and can do huge damage cmbined with Silver Bolts. You CANNOT Tumble through walls at all however u can Tumble through Veigars Event Horizon and Karthus Wall of Pain . If you use Tumble while having Final Hour activated you will gain stealth for 1 second, wich gives you great chances to either position yourself behind a target to get a better Condemn position and to escape.

Condemn skill




Condemn can do massive damage and can be usefull for gaining distance to melee fighters, such as Olaf and Nocturne, stunning and knocking back opponents. Condemn will reset your attack timer and add 1 stack of Silver Bolts, so a good way to use it is to shoot once then Condemn and then shoot again, that can lower a squishy champions health very fast! Also if you shot an enemy into a wall it will be stunned giving u great chances for both dealing massive damage or escape from them.

Silver Bolt's skill




Silver Bolts is a passive abillity that Vayne has, every third hit on the same target will deal a percentage of the target health plus some bonus damage, as TRUE damage. This is Vayne's health shredder abbility, and tanks hate it because they armor cant do anything about it! Also this combined with Tumble will deal a huge amount of damage in very few seconds. And also its important for Vayne to have high Attack Speed since it will make this proces to much faster wich will mean a much higher damage output.

Final Hour skill





Final Hour is Vaynes ultimate, it has low cooldown So use it often, if there is no danger use it on turrets too. This abillity will add some AD to Vaynes basic attacks, also it will triple the effect of your Night Hunter, also when you tumble you will gain 1 second stealth. The stealth is usefull for changing direction with enemies to flee, or to position yourself to land a perfect Condemn. Also always pop thos in teamfights, and spam Tumble. This will disturb and confuse your enemies, since they will loose target and vision of you because of your stealth.

Well Warding




  • Orange: To keep track of jungler.
  • Red: To see Baron and Dragon, for possible steal or counter attack.
  • Blue: To protect lane against gank and etc.
  • Green: This is interesting, because many seems not do to this but i find it very usefull. you place ward in your two bushes, because then you can Condemn them into the wall, and pwn them while they are camping in the bushes.

// The reason why i chose this sequence is:
  • I want to max Tumble first. Because it is easyer to play with if your not that routined with vayne, however if you are good with vayne, consider maxing Condemn first
  • Ofcourse Take your Final Hour when you can, its pretty logical
  • Silver Bolts is mostly only effective in mid/late game, because your enemies will have more health there, and your attack speed will be much higher.

Farming



Farming/Jungling


// Since we in this guide aint focusing on early attack speed because we are gonna be last hitting minions in early laning. When you get the early B.F. Sword you will 2 hit the caster minions, so you can much easyer last hit. Also the mastery setup will help you a bit in last hitting.

Teamfights


// Vayne's role in teamfights is to take down the the enemy carry. Carry's is usual squishy so it shouldnt take long, after that you should focus on supporters such as Sona or Soraka. When you have done this task go on with the focused champion. It is important to always keep distance to the fight since if you come to close, you will be focused!

Summary



So the overall summary for Vayne is that its very important to minion farm at the start, and if u get more or less feeded in the beginning on minions or enemies. You can cinsider buying Sword of the Occult actually. Its also important that if your getting dominated for example by Casseopia poisoning you, its considerable to buy some Magic Resist, and the same with armor if its an AD champion.
