This matchup is very hard for Veigar. You ALWAYS want to get zed banned to prevent this. To counter him try to get zhonyas pretty early. Also a tip, be ready to stun him exactly after he have used ult.

Intro

YOOOOOO GUYS!
I have been playing a lot of Veigar and found him very strong. I have been climbing the ladder to diamond 2.
My current rank with him on "lolskill" is #4 EUW.
I hope you guys will begin to play him and to really master him. It will make u gain that elo trust me guys!

Pros/cons

Pros
- Extremely high damage lategame
- Very good against AP casters
- He is NOT mana hungry
- He can stun multiple people
- Easy to snowball with DFG
- Never ever banned

- Very squishy
- Hard to master good
- Need a lot of practise to be able to land your stun effectivly
- A lot of single target dmg

Early game

Here you wanna make sure to just farm. You have low dmg early game, and a lot of champions you face will win trades easrly game. So you want to stack your Q. Dont try to get harrased and stand behind minions, as told you wont win trades early game so focus on stacking. Alos maxing your stun after Q will make you safer against ganks.

Mid game

After lvl 6 you can start do stuff. Your ultimate will do a lot of dmg to AP casters, 80% of their current AP.
Your dmg can maybe kill oneshot at lvl 6. But combined with a gank your opponent will be dead for sure.
If you do get the DFG mid game, you can easily snowball with it. Because each time u have ult + dfg it will oneshot anyone if not the target is tank or fed.

Late game

In the late game you have your third ulti and your dfg. You can easily kill someone on your own. You want to try to make picks yourself. This will result that you and your teammates can fight 4vs5. Which is very good. You can for instance force towers, dragon or baron togheter.
In teamfights you have to be really careful because they will try to focus you. You want to go forward only to stun and make your combos.
Defensive items for Veigar lategame are banches and zhonyas.

Tricks and tips for Veigar

+ After you have learned to master your stun, a game changing thing Veigar can do is flash stun. Your opponents are often unaware that this will happen. When they are stunned it's to late for them, they will die very quickly.

+ Your W will reveal bushes and shadows.

+ Be careful when you are going to kill Vladimir, Yasou, Elise, Lissandra, Yi Fizz. They can dodge your ulti very easily. So make sure they really are stunned b4 u use your combo!
