Welcome to my guide about the grandmaster at arms.
Jax is a topper/jungler with a high damage output from AP and AD he can also be built tanky due to his Dodge and Ultimate
I played jax enought times with alot of builds to write a book about it but thesedays nobody reads books...

For Damage builds I recommend Normal solo top runes which give him a nice starting damage and enought armor and magic resist. If you are playing against champions with a deadly poke ( Yorick, Jayce) or AP Top I strongy recomend you buy flat magic resists

For a Tank you don't need Movement speed runes because Jax is a pretty fast champ. You need the armor and magic resist runes for all time tanking.

For Jungling you could also take Armor penetration runes instead of Attack damage runes, but it varies on your game style.

Its Good to have the 21/9 Masteries when playing Damage Jax as YOU WILL BE FOCUSED so you get a bit of reduce damage and you deal higher damage your self


For Tank you need that cooldown reduction so you can span your stun from E. Not everyone recommends taking Unyielding but as I said before you will be focused!

When you pick summoner spells for Jax you have alot of options because alot of Spells work well with him

Flash - To chase or getaway
Ignite - To Finish as you don't have any kind of poison or a range finisher ( There's your Q but you have to body dive - Not ideal )
Ghost - If you don't have or not confident with flash
Exhaust - To secure Stuns and keep your Prey inside your Q range
Heal - Good option for tanking
Barrier - Not Ideal ( Good for A.R.A.M )
Clairvoyance - You can buy wards for 75 gold
Clarity - If you really need mana ask the jungler for blue or just take it
Cleanse - Quick silverstash, Mercurial scimitar
Revive - If focused all time buy Guardian angel
Teleport - Not ideal to choose

When Jungling I start at blue ( no need for pull but you can ask for smiteless ) >Gank< Wolves, Wraiths, >Gank< Golems, RECALL, >Gank< Red, and so on After dragon you can gank more often and remebmer to ward DRAGON, BARON and enemy's Red and Blue and these can get easily taken over by Jax

You can Q to friendly Minions and Champs
After casting E you can press E again to stop cast the Stun Remember: More you dodge higher Damage you deal
Remember about passive it stacks on turrets!
Ultimate passive is very helpful in jungle so Remember 3 strikes
