Introduction

Hi there fellow summoners! This is my first guide ever, but since it's also probably the last one, don't bother critisizing how my guide looks. I won't bother remaking it. I do apologise for that. Also, this guide MAY NOT help you much if you have never played Yorick before. This guide is for players who know the terms of game. Sorry for that.

My guide's main difference

First of all, this guide very possibly breaks some ''untold rules'' and therefore it might seen very bad. I personally use this build most of the time and I've won most of my Yorick games.
The problem I've encountered with all other guides is that Yorick can't catch anyone well and even if he does, it takes so much time to kill the opponent that you get caught and die while opponent runs away. You have probably felt this way, but you still had Omen of Death! Well they can hold you off until you die and all you did was feed. With this guide, this cenario will happen MUCH less likely and is somewhat key to your success. It's also unique build which might give you an advantage over enemies that don't know this build.

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush
I use Greater Mark of Attack Damage becouse it makes your ghouls deal more damage and helps with last hitting. Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed is good becouse in my build, the main key words are movement and damage. I use Greater Seal of Armor and Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist to survive better in my own lane and later in teamfights.

Masteries

Tank and utility masteries are equal I think, but you can play which ever you like. This Yorick must be fast, but I also like being dead (in the lane). You can try whatever you personally like, but since his AD is high, I'd prefer utility or tank.

Skill Sequence

So a lot of you must wonder why I don't max Omen of Famine and Omen of Pestilence right away. I like all his abilities so I level them equally. His kit is meant to work together. Also, as you may notice in the items chapter, I focus on speed. Now I also added a con saying he is a bad harrasser. This was actually just to make you think about his kit. It has 1 ability, Omen of Famine, which takes a lot mana while HEALING you. It's not meant for harrassing, it's meant for healing while dealing damage. When you fight in melee, you have your Unholy Covenant's BOTH bonuses. Omen of Famine can also hit your opponenet more than 1 time then. Omen of Pestilence is to slow the enemy, but when you harrass with ghouls, it's as good as nothing. I take advantage of the slow by going nearby and fighting like a (dead) man! His third spell, Omen of War, lets me stay near him when fighting, and it can ONLY be used when fighting in melee combat. This is the part where I got really confused with other guides. Why do I need mana to harrass, when he doesn't have spells to harrass with. Shaco's Two-Shiv Poison is for harrassing becous of low mana and moderate damage, Yorick has high mana cost and moderate damage. If you use all your ghouls at once, you get 15% bonus from passive BOTH ways and it deals crazy damage. Harrassing is not what Yorick should do. It also means you don't need Manamune. Now finally his ulty...harrasser can't kill opponents. Not without burst, which Yorick doesn't have at long range. But if you can stick to him with Omen of Death and still pound him under ground with your spade, you have the time to burst. Melee Yorick CAN burst while harrass Yorick CANNOT. Feeling this burst and using the slow/speed combo helps you use your Omen of Death better as well.

Items

Now we got to the weird part. Your first thought was probably:"Why the **** Trinity Force AND Frozen Mallet to this champion?? He doesn't need any of them!". My friend said Yorick doesn't need almost anything from Trinity Force, well let's see what he does need and what he doesn't need. Trinity Force gives: AP, AD, AS, Crit chance, HP, mana, Move speed, Sheen effect and slow. My Yorick is a bit melee, so we can say AD is good, AS is good, Crit doesn't hurt, HP and mana are always good, Move speed is my entire guide's point and Sheen is for Omen of War's deadliness. Now The slow is 25% chance and I don't rely on % to be honest. Yes, so is crit chance, but as I said, it doesn't hurt. But Frozen Mallet is to make sure I get the 100% and a lot of HP, becouse I buy Atma's Impaler for armor and extra damage. Atma also gets my crit chance to 25%, which is OK, as I don't really FOCUS on that. Boots of Swiftness are good, but in the beginning I must get the tenacity, later on I get Zephyr for more speed, a bit CDR and tenacity, it also adds a bit to AD and AS, which, again, doesn't hurt this Yorick. Maw of Malmortius is clearly just for mr and a bit extra damage. But the main problem, Frozen Mallet and Trinity Force, is really becouse of HP, a bit more AD and 25% chance to slow is unreliable when I got only a few seconds to make myself clear to the ADC.

Spells

Ignite is always a good TOP lane choice. Other good option would be Exhaust for better catching. Ghost is therefore also viable choice, but I like baiting others with 100 hp, so I choose Barrier. I wouldn't recommend other spells. If you need to Flash, you've clearly went too far in the first place. But many people can't see the options that you get from other spells combined without Flash, then to you:''Go ahead, it's a guide, not the Bible.''

Summary

This Yorick is Offtank to catch their ADC, not let go of him/her and kill him/her with your auto attacks and the ghouls. This Yorick is so fast that ADC must run away from you. You also have a lot of tankiness and damage so ADC has a reason to run. Also choose ANY combination between Ignite, Barrier, Ghost and Exhaust and Flash, becouse they're all great. I personally choose Ignite and Barrier most of the time. But take Flash, if you need to. (You probably love Flash.)

When you want to add -1, please explain. And don't give me the reasons I talked about, rather try to use this guide and remember to NOT harrass with this Yorick, only burst in melee fights!
