Hello everyone, I am andr3wsw4g, a fellow Zac user. This will be my first In-depth guide of Zac, so I will include every trick I know of Zac, every single one I have. I will be covering runes, masteries, Items, Skill sequence, spells, the pros and cons, and finally, the farming in this build guide of Zac. I won't spare you any expense in this build. So I hope you enjoy, and that someday, you can bounce around the league of legends like me.
The Runes are here because I know everyone will probably use 13 health potion start, but for those who don't, zac is squishy at the beginning, so health regen seals are oh so nice to have on him, considering his abilities use health. Also, marks of magic penetration always help with the extra damage done to people. Magic resist will help if there's an AP champion your facing, or even just a garen ultimate., explaining the glyphs of scaling magic resist. Finally, the ability power quintessences are there for early game damage, so you dont get early taken over and feed your lane.
Most of the masteries were chosen as helping with zac tanking. As you can see, most of these are defensive. That's because I know most people don't like dying as zac. So, I decided to put a lot of defensive masteries. Also, you'll notice how I also put cool-down reduction, ability power, and magic penetration masteries in because you also want to deal damage, and I know zac's good at that. You'll also notice how I have BLADED ARMOR and SAFEGUARD, which are there in case you are a stupid turret diver like me, or like to get minions without backup, like me. So if you don't enjoy that, then you can switch those up. BUT ALL OTHER RUNES ARE COMPLETELY ESSENTIAL DO NOT CHANGE THEM.
Here I will explain all of the items in "My Personal Favourite" item build for zac. Not the rest, because all other ones I think are optional, and not as good as these ones.
MERCURY TREADS/NINJA TABI are AMAZING for tanking and i (almost) die with either of them unless I'm stupid. YOU MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM. YOU CANT HAVE 2 BOOTS IN A BUILD. If there is 4-5 AD champs, build ninja tabi. If not, build mercury treads. IF YOU ARE DYING MULTIPLE TIMES FROM A SINGLE FED AD/AP CHAMP FEEL FREE TO CHANGE WHICH BOOTS YOU PICK.
WARMOGS ARMOR is good for tanking, and zac is a super good tank. Plus warmog's gives the regen necessary for zac to recover quickly from spamming his abilities/getting ganked.
GUARDIAN ANGEL is so amazing for tanks honestly 4000 health tank dying but then gets revived for 3/10's of your hp (bout a thousand hp). Plus his passive, combined additionally with the armor it gives you makes you an irritation to the enemy team.
LIANDRI'S TORMENT Zac has 2 SLOWS. YOU CAN DEAL SO MUCH MORE DAMAGE WITH ONLY ONE ITEM. AND IT GIVES YOU MORE MAGIC PENETRATION AND HEALTH. A MUST FOR ZAC.
RUNIC BULWARK is such an amazing team choice. It give your team a lot of extra health regen, armor, and magic resist. PLUS more health for Zac. What could go wrong?
ABYSSAL SCEPTER ever seen a stupid ad/ap carry STILL with 30 magic resist? this brings that down to ten, gives you 70 ap, and 70 magic resist. Now there the sitting duck. Now, thats what I call effective.
Look, if your here looking at this build going hell no, I'm perfectly fine with it. However, I want to explain this so you can understand why I chose this. I quickly got all of the abilities because that makes getting out of sticky situations easier, then upgraded his Q. Why? "his q doesnt do as much damage? Its cooldown is too long? Well, this ability has a good cooldown, a nice poke, and extends the range of most other pokes of top characters. All in one. Next I get the "E" of zac, which is his major ganking move. You can use this move out of others sight, and jump in. The only bad part is that experienced players with zac know how to dodge this move from the shadow that appears on the ground where you will hit. Finally, I get his w, a great farming move in general with a 4 second cooldown. This is your spam move in teamfight's, as it does a percentage of an enemy's health in damage(8%). Finally, his ultimate, is something you only use in a sticky situation, or to initiate the enemy team. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND USING YOUR ULT TO REGAIN HEALTH JUST BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU 4 BLOBS WORTH 4% OF YOUR HEALTH. THERE ARE BETTER USES FOR ZAC's ULTIMATE THEN THAT.
FLASH An amazing spell in general, highly recomend for initiiating or running from enemies.
IGNITE Honestly why wouldn't u have ignite it's possibly the best spell in league of legends!
Pros / Cons
-passive is a beast
-bad early game
-not good farm early game
-could get pushed back early game
(he really sucks early game thats the only thing really)
Farm is essential for all characters to be fed in league. So in any case you can't get any kills mid game, you can get your w a LITTLE bit earlier lvl.12, 13. And you can use all of your abilities for farm, but your w is probably the best for cool-down reasons. AND WHEN I SAY COOLDOWN REASONS, I MEAN ITS COOLDOWN IS AMAZING AND DONT GET COOLDOWN ITEMS. I WILL HATE YOU FOREVER IF YOU DO
