Can something like this be implemented? I think this would help the community which people are trolls/unhelpful and they could be banned if their rep is way below 0, -100 for example

We wanted to have a reputation system to reward our more helpful members and show which members who provide valid information and good spirit to the forums. If we put in a minus reputation function that would be counter-productive.
Don't expect it to be implemented. |

Just use the report tool and they'll be warned or banned if they're disobeying the site rules. It's far more effective. I'd have to troll people like 500+ times before I got banned. It's similar too the Maplestory's 'Fame System'
People will just go for -Rep, instead of +Rep.

But the Fame system in that is kinda pointless. Cept the more you got, the more things you can equip, etc. and look cool You can also "buy" them, which is already declared illegal here on Mobafire. Same with trading. I don't think a -rep would be useful. Trolls will take advantage

That system could easily get abused by trolls by just -rep'ing everyone they see.

If you had enough (deserved, not trolled) -rep to actually be a deterrent, you are probably behaving so badly that we should ban you anyways, which makes your rep moot. Rep is meant to be a reward for good behavior, I think it should remain separate from punishment. The Mods have other tools and methods for punishing bad behavior that are much more effective.
We also have a very powerful reporting system. If people start giving -rep instead of reporting bad behavior, I think the site will suffer for it. If you think someone deserves a -rep, then submit a report. It will build a record against that user that our Mods can review and from there bans can easily be issued on a case by case basis.
