If you like him, yeah. Yi isn't that great of a champion, he mostly just punishes poor players, but he's only 450 IP anyway so if you like him go for it. You'll doubtless run into a lot of terrible players anyway. :P

Go for the champs you like! It's best to learn this game while enjoying it!

I remember when I was low leveled, I learned the game by learning champs first.
I used to watch the old champion spotlights for champions that seemed cool. I remember I first bought Mordekaiser because I was playing with my friend one game, and he always told me you couldn't 1v1 Morde. I saw other teamfights getting faceraped so I bought him. Then I started learning him while saving up IP. After a while, when I had around 2k IP, I started looking at other champs to save up for. Then I found Malzahar, and I started watching champ spotlights and videos.

Just try to have fun by saving up IP for the champions that have cool skills you like and try to follow builds and guides that are good. MOBAFire has a bad rating system, so I recommend Solomid.net guides from the higher elo (ranking system) players. Eventually just adapt to your own playstyle. Watch videos and streams and competitive scrims and games to learn and see what the pros do in certain situations.

ENJOY THE GAME THATS #1. ;D

I can find myself in your story man! I started this game 1,5 years ago and I didn't have a clue what to do! I was going negative all the time, people in-game called me noob and such stuff. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL BE NOOB FOREVER!

The things I learned can help you too:
1. If you know friends who play the game too, invite them on Skype/TeamSpeak. They can help you understand the game faster and can choose a character for you who fits your playstyle!

2. Don't go for the most expensive champions right away! They require a good amount of skill to master them. I fell in love with Ashe in the beginning, because she had quite good range attacks and she was easy to understand. Now I play Fiddlesticks as my main, and he is only 1350 IP! That means high costs doesn't mean anything :)

3. Keep practicing! If you are going well over time, you will have more fun in playing this game! You can always have bad games sometimes, but you can learn from that. Watch your mistakes and change them in your future games. If you keep going like that, you will become a professional in no-time!

JUST DON'T GIVE UP! That's the best advice I can give!

First of all, take everything we are saying with a grain of salt. All of this is personal opinion and since we are not pro players, most of it is objective. In my personal opinion WW is the hardest jungler to play atm (in a close tie with Eve).

However you probably don't want to hear me ramble on about advanced stuff that you may or may not understand, so i'll give you some handy links that will probably help you.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/who-is-your-jungler-and-what-does-he-do-114118

A basic guide on what a jungler is and why you play a jungler. Most of the information is fine and it's pretty good. However I wouldn't recommend going to each of those junglers individual guide pages looking for guides.

Instead go to www.solomid.net, most of the jungle guides there are quite solid and potentially better. There are some jungle guides on Mobafire that are fine though.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/the-comprehensive-karma-72191

This is an extremely factual guide on Karma, who is imo an AP pick to 'shut down' (in other words completely rape) the enemy ap carry in mid, however Egypsian plays her as a support, which can be very rewarding as well. The guide contains general information on being a support, which can be helpful just to get you some info about them. Take it with a grain of salt though, since imo some of the stuff is a bit on the edge of being true.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/warding-helper-more-than-your-eyes-can-see-54337

This is one of the best guides because it's about an essential part of the game, wards. You should always be buying wards whenever you go back, it will give you a huge advantage in the game, not to mention counter warding and oracles is a huge part of the game.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/in-depth-item-guide-97205

Very good guide about items. Shows you which items to buy and what potential benefits you can have when buying x item over y item.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/rune-tips-what-secondary-and-primary-means-and-more-24255

Very good guide by Searz about what runes are, etc. You should refer to his guide about what runes to get first, it will massively help you. Most of the game I find is grinding it out to level 20 and buying runes.

Everything you could want to know as a new player :)

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/making-a-guide-101506

If you're here to make a guide, this well help you tons :)

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/offtanks-the-new-metagame-79701

DuffTime possibly has the best guide on the site with this one, he outlines why Trinity force is such a good item and goes over some people who use it extremely well. It's -slightly- out of date, but still very good.

http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/league-of-legends-a-guide-for-beginners-and-other-people-91251

Dotter has another good guide for new players. You might like it if you just started playing :)

aaaand that's all I felt like looking up :P

Yi was used in a pro-tourney pretty sure it was Atlanta who used him against MiG with a "We are all reliant on our ulties team-comp" and after enemy used ulties, yi just ran in and was all like: My blade is up Yours!!!

One think I suggest is to try to help out the person in your lane as much as you can. Im not saying being a support and babysitting him more like making suggestions for him or tell him how you do something he seems to be struggling with. If he seems to really know what he is doing and you need some help why don't you ask him for advice. He may be an experienced player using a new account.

Yi is much faster in the jungle, yi get's 80% AS and 70 ad from ulty and wuju-style. Although their kit seems similar, their job is different.
