Diablo 3 is an ok game tbh. I've gotten 2 chars to 60, a monk and a DH. My monk hit a wall in the middle of act due to lack of gear and the inability to farm gear, my DH reached 60 yesterday and I've already passed my monk with less than 1 mill spent on the AH.

The difficulty in Diablo 3 isn't very well made. What they do is basically increase the damage and HP of each monster to ridiculous amounts. What one would expect is for new game mechanics to be introduced so while things become much tougher we also get the chance of combating part of the difficulty with skill instead of gear.

But that's not what happens. Melee classes will get overwhelmed at Act 2 inferno due to the insane amount of damage suffered and will be required to spend over 2-3 millions in gear at the AH, with no ability to efficiently farm this amount of gold. However, once they get over the gear limitations then there's nothing stopping them, the monsters damage can no longer compete with their defences, inferno becomes a faceroll.

Ranged classes, on the other hand, cannot sustain the massive amounts of damage no matter how much gear they get. What this means is that after act 2 you'll be 1-shot no matter what, so they're forced to focus on DPS only and kite mobs around. Since the ability to kite mobs remains the same no matter the gear, ranged DPS classes are able clear inferno even with very bad gear. What changes is the amount of time it takes to kill each minion, which obviously decreases as your DPS increases, but killing the minions remains possible even with just 1 mil worth of gear. However, even if they have the best gear in the world and have over 100k DPS they will still die in one hit.

This obviously isn't much fun. The game should get harder with new mechanics, requiring more skill, not by exponentially increasing the damage/hp. It just prevents the classes from scaling correctly with their gear and difficulty.

There are other problems with the game, such as the items, AH and, obviously, the service itself. But I think that this is the main "turn-off" for me.
