uhhh..

1. Night Angel Trilogy
2. Black Prism
3. Kreis der Dämmerung/Circle of Dawn (don't think there is an english version - dunno why tho those 4 books are so great)
4. Lycidas, Lilith, Lumen
5. LotR
6. The Black Magician Trilogy & The Traitor Spy Trilogy

I actually enjoy reading a lot but once I get a good book I finish it off in like 1-7 days depends on how much time I got so it got rather expensive and I sometimes look into books that are supposed to be good and I am just no interested at all.

TL;DR - Brent Weeks es BEST

I just started the Unincorporated Man, **** is good.
Also started and finished Old Man on the Sea, **** was decent.
And Evil, I feel like with all of the preparation in the earlier books, nothing was taken advantage of. All that happened was loose ends were tied up, in quite a loose manner, but to each his own.
Thanks to jhoijhoi for the awesome PsiGuard-loving sig!

I DON'T want 5 pages on what a table looks like, and what wood it's made of, and how old it is, and how it was obtained, and who made it, and why they made it, and who they were, and their whole life story, and their parents life story, and so on. It's a tad ridiculous. >.<

I agree with that, but that never happened in LotR. That is only ridiculous because you invented that example and made it as ridiculous as you could. If that happens as frequently as you say then it should take less than a minute to find a good example.

Reading a few pages of each book are not enough to decide if you like it or not. You should have read a whole chapter from one of the books instead.

It is by far enough 10-20 Pages - it's more about the writing style not the Content - if I dislike the writing style I wont Even bother reading it. Mb I'll try them out in english since I just saw them in a bookstore and they were obviously german since I live in Germany

Obviously it never happened to that extent, but there really was A LOT in that series that did not need to be there. I can't come up with anything specific right now, because I haven't read them in 5 years or so, and I no longer have the books.

And I'm not saying it happens constantly either, it's not like that's all the books are, but it does happen more often than I would like.

Someone probably could cut at least half out of the book, and still have the same story though..

The story of The Hobbit to me felt just as long as the story of LoTR, and the book is half the size of ONE of the LoTR books.

i remember reading some danish book series i liked:
The daughter of the shamer.(someone who makes people ashamed, was more interesting than it seemed)
The warrior.

Both series are danish so you can't read them so this post is pointless.

Never really liked any foreign literature.
Ty MM and Blood for the sigs :3 | Rammus is comming back - heard it here first!
