Welcome aboard!

So I started off this season pretty well, getting to 1350 elo, and I consider myself a 1300 elo player. Currently below 1200 elo, because of "teammates".
That brings me to my next point: If you lose a ranked game, is it because of YOU or your Team?
Now, I feel that this idea will come with a LOT of negative feedback saying "You carry yourself, you support yourself, you save yourself" and stuff like that. This is going to turn out well because of my lower ELO *more baddies, lesser intelligent players, etc*.

So yeah, every game I LOSE, will be posted here:

And all the games I WIN will be posted here:

Hope you guys enjoy, and we will find out soon enough!

LoL is a teamgame, so you are dependant of your team, you cannot carry alone unless the enemy sucks.

However, since it is a team of 5 people, you are 20% of your team! Making you also very important.

So yeah, you can be unlucky and get 5 games in a row where the 80% are just messing around, but you can also be lucky and get great teammates that cooperate together so well, that you are the one messing around :P

Just make sure you do your part well, and eventually the rest will follow.
Like I said, you can be lucky with teammates or not, but that doesn't mean you don't need to do your best anymore :P

Try to inspire your teammates and try to be helpful, that is the best way to make your team cooperate and help eachother.

That is what truly is important no? :D

This is theory crafting, I'm seeing how this season goes via team mates. But yes, it IS a team game, so you MUST depend on your team.

I am told by a fellow ranked player that it's pretty much your fault. You should be good enough to stomp your lane and the lane next to you. If you're jungle, you should be able to carry at least two lanes and bully the enemy jungler. Even if it's a team game, you should be able to carry them.

Having said that, having good team-mates help. Having ******edly bad team-mates don't. If your team-mates are uncooperative with you, then carrying them will make them cooperate. Unless they're trolling. In which case, let them troll and carry the rest of the game.

Unless you're support. Then you carry your ADC. Who carries the game. Or roam like double jungle. Harder, but possible.

In a way, yes. In a way, no. 1200-1300 or so is the "average" elo. So I'm using myself as an example, the "scapegoat" for ranked team play. I'll AIM to put up every game I play this SEASON in this thread, depending on how well the feedback is. At the end of the season, i'll avg. everything out. Eg. 65% of my wins I have to carry, 35% of my losses I have terrible team mates (:

@question: The answer is both.
You will never play perfect. Your teammates will never play perfect. However the many mistakes you find will just be your beliefs. I'm sure they'll find mistakes in your play as well if you're stuck at a certain elo range.

However keeping with the mindset that "teammates lost the game" or "teammates made mistakes than i did" or "i don't belong at this elo" will not get you anywhere.

People always feel they're better than their elo, and maybe they are. However with that mindset they will not advance.

As such, the best way to gain elo is to simply keep a humble attitude.

Having an over-modest or "omg i suck I can't improve" attitude won't get you anywhere either. That will only lead to frustration.
Always aim to play your best. If you're not winning, then look at your mistakes and fix them. If you play absolutely flawless I'm sure 99% of games will be winnable. There will be that occasional one game where everyone all falls apart, and at times like that you simply have to objectively evaluate the situation and accept it.

Having an over-modest or "omg i suck I can't improve" attitude won't get you anywhere either. That will only lead to frustration.

Try to stay calm, know what to improve on, and you'll learn really quickly.

Fair enough :P

"I am told by a fellow ranked player that it's pretty much your fault" -Sirell

True, you can change the 20% that is your part to 40% or maybe even 60%.
This of course, requires a much higher skill cap than both your enemy as your allies.

but you prob already know that :P

I main jungle. I will get a lane fed, and they'll either snowball the rest of my team, or they'll get cocky, arrogant, greedy or overestimate their opponent. I play my jungler like a support role: provide kills to the desired candidate and build items that need to be built. I'm aiming to play 90% of my games a support this season, because this is my brothers logic: If you LIKE a role, and you ALWAYS get that role, you'll have an easy time in solo queue. Whereas, if you are GOOD at a role, but you only SOMETIMES get that role, solo queue can be a pain. He mains support, he gets it 99% of the time. He's a very good support, so he knows how to get his lane fed. I want to main support because then I have a designated, almost guaranteed role to play, instead of say, maining mid but only being okay in the other roles, therefore letting your team down. Sorry for the wall of text D:

I'm working on that. I go into a game saying "S3 is pre-season S4, I'll practise in S3, fix my mistakes in preparation for S4. It's hard to keep that mindset when all you hear is "First blood" or, "enemy double kill" 13 seconds into that match. Keeping focused on doing my part right whilst watching my team struggle, QQ & feed is harder than I expected. I didn't play much S2 ranked, I think only 150-ish games? But when I did, I jumped for jungle and it was only every 1 champion. I want to improve in S3, but team mates make "stepping it up to the next level" a pain.
