Protip: ignore this kind of person. Just do your job, regardless of what that kid says. Playing support is like raising a child, really, if you know what I mean :P
For me, the best support is Thresh, simply because he is so versatile. He can play both offensive AND defensive, he can pick people off and do all sorts of other things. The only major downside is that he is hard to play, but you know what they say: practice makes perfect.
If you want something easier you have Leona, though she relies on an aggressive playstyle.
That's just my 2 cents, you can also check H4X's tier list to get a rough idea of where each champion stands.

I think Tahm Kench is pretty much still the "best", because he's still really broken and his kit is pretty easy to use properly, if I'm gonna call one support the "best". It's more important, imo, to know what supports are good in certain match-ups or in/against certain team comps though.
I will say that if you like Blitzcrank, you might as well try Thresh. Thresh does a lot of things better than Blitzcrank does.
Personally, I like Nami the best, but I like caster supports more than I like tank supports.

Since you like hooks, you might like Thresh, Nautilus or Blitzcrank.
I say Tahm Kench, Soraka, Leona or (maybe) Nami are good supports also. You can check Vyn's support AMA thread or H4X's tier list if you want to know more.

Thanks to winston gergill (muh Valentine in 2016)for the sig!

I'd start learning with Morgana, Braum or Janna. These three are very safe supports and none of them are very difficult to play, although they can take time to master.
Another one you could try is Alistar. It's a bit safer than, say, Leona but you can still go in like there's no tomorrow. Annie is also an option if you like something bursty.
********'s a pretty good fertilizer
This question is way too subjective. There are a lot of different styles of supports so you can't really say which are definitively the best. For example tank supports like Braum, Leona, Alistar vs. mage supports like Annie, Zyra, Brand vs. utility supports like Bard, Thresh, Janna. I don't think you can say one is universally the best because they all might be better in different situations. The only exception would be Tahm Kench because he's broken as **** right now, but besides that support is a lot about complimenting your ADC and/or team

I have been playing ZAC support which has been loads of fun, and Blitz well if you get a good hook its over really :)
I have noticed a lot of raging players example of this is I get 10 successful hooks, however i miss one and ADC rages and gets annoyed,
Who do you think is the best support right now? Who do you think i should start training to get better with :)
Any help would be great
