Janna is a nice support to learn, because she doesn't have any blatant counter picks, and she's very forgiving in terms of positioning because of her mobility
she also teaches you how to play like a *****.
listen op. You need to learn how to play support balls deep in the enemy. Pick a manly champion like Zyra and just go ****in nuts on the enemy bot lane. Pick Leona and engage on cooldown. Janna won't teach you any of that ****, she sits back and shield when her AD wants to trade or is about to take damage. These champions won't teach you how to 1v2 a lane.
Thanks for the Signature MissMaw!

And no one mentions Karma. That level 1 Soulflare is cancer.
Thanks Vapora Dark for the sig!

I love Karma too, but she hasn't been particularly good in quite a while.
EDIT: And what moonmoon just said
honestly i think playing champions that don't have potential to punish enemy stupidity teaches you more about how to play correctly. although champions like Leona Alistar Blitzcrank are much easier to impact / win the game if you want to learn the role it's better to play passive supports to give you a better focus on how you can impact the game from a support role.
There is no ‘best’ support, but the top four is probably Tahm Kench, Soraka, Alistar, and Thresh. Other good supports are Bard, Nami, Sona, Janna, and Leona. Would not advise to play anything else unless you know what you are doing, but considering the title of this thread, I would not say that is the case.
