The dice rolled in my favor. The updated Zac is a helluva lot of fun. The Stretching Strikes replacement is much more of a play making ability rather than a generic slow and some damage. Still don't quite understand how to operate his new ult. Guess I should read up on that/practice how to use it because I couldn't pull it off consistently in game.

I think I'll try to play him when we need a tank, but he is banned quite often so don't know how frequently that will be an option.

Zac is definitely more complicated to play, but his clears are better and his ganks are still quite good though the increased warning they get before Elastic Slingshot lands is kind of a bummer, but that effect has been in place for a while.

I guess Orianna is a jungle main because she was *****ing about me leaving my buffs up to long. Like, hey making plays here. Would happily get my buffs but I think getting my laners ahead is also important. If I am not doing one or the other then that is certainly cause for concern. I manage to stymie a bunch of Lee Sin's efforts which in turn got him killed so over all it was working out.

We invaded them at their Blue buff and managed to catch out Caitlyn and kill her which I'm pretty sure tilted her out of the game because our Bot lane stomped them (we later learned that she was raging in chat after that) and in Top Pantheon weathered a bunch of ganks from Vi well, with some help from me. Illaoi still managed to kill him at one point through an Exhaust I put down on her. I almost didn't make it out myself. Jinx was to the point of being in such a dominant position that Soraka ran around the map healing everyone. Had a bit of scare when Illaoi cottoned on to the fact that Soraka and I were doing Rift Herald. Pantheon ulted in and we killed her and secured the Rift Herald. We used Rift Herald to pound down their Mid turrets and then were sufficiently health enough after securing a few more kills in order to take their Nexus.

I managed to get Bot lane fed, but Graves got Gangplank fed. That proved to be the deciding factor in the game. We just could not make any progress because even when we won fights there would be like two us alive because freaking barrels. I had around 50% health and two or three armor items and walked over to the dragon pit to try and contest for Elder Dragon and the explosion from the barrel chain from over the wall killed me.

Let's see. I'll make a champion that gets a slow and a speed boost and the ability to negate any CC and he will build items that increase his speed (so you can't hit him with any skill shot based CC) and if you chase him he will drop a bunch of barrels that you only have a second to react to and you might not be able to see the one that starts the chain that blows your entire team to smithereens. And he has been repeatedly nerfed, so his rather safe weak early laning phase makes up for his disgusting late game...yeah. /salt

And to Top that off we had an ***hat Syndra that kept complaining about me and Top. Top I can understand (there were definitely a couple of ganks he could have avoided). I asked the Syndra what their problem was and what I got was "It isn't worth explaining at this ELO". FU. Mute.

Had a fun play where I dove Ashe from behind her turret and scooped her up and bounced her into my team. Quite satisfying. Still feel a little iffy about the ult usage, but it is feeling better after some trials in the practice tool.

My team played the early game reasonably well, then **** the bed in Mid game on an ill advised turret dive in Top lane giving up a triple kill. Later Singed engaged a fight around Baron while Zed was splitting for the tower in Top lane. We should have backed out, but we did not. Apparently it was then all my fault according to Zed. The Jinx was freaking huge by that point pretty much vaporizing us any time we tried to team fight and Zed couldn;t get to her and stick well enough to kill before getting ccd.

I'll take my lumps for following up on the Singed engage around Baron, but the fail was already in the making, we just added to it at that point.

Our Bot lane did well and Tryndamere a least split down objectives despite having somewhat of a rough lane with Vayne sort of camping him. We started didling around a little bit and couple of people of on the team including me suggested that we finish before we lost our early game advantage. Then we put the pedal to the meddle and won the game. Bard and Jinx were in a good spot and playing well so I shaded to that side of the map to cement our advantage there. Went with a little more AP this game since our team was lacking in it having no true AP threat. Felt a little squishy going Liandry's Torment as a second item.

Urgh. Ended up dying to Trundle by getting creep blocked so bad I couldn't disengage from him. Then I am about 99% certain I flashed a Gragas Body Slam but hell if it didn't go off so he was close enough to ult me back into him and Trundle. And while the early game went reasonably well for my team in the other areas of the map in the Mid game our team feel apart. The full AP Gragas did work, I'll give him that.

Jeebus what the hell was Jax building? And I traded him jungle for Top because he asked for the switch. Sigh.

Tried going Zz'Rot Portal first to be ultra annoying. It worked but likely only because my team was doing reasonably well elsewhere on the map. Got some help from Kindred in the early game so that helped square the lane in my favor. Shen is annoying but you just need to walk away from him when he taunts you and come back after his circle goes down to heal up on minions.

Ended the evening 3 LP down due to a dodge because we had a Master Yi Mid lane and a Jhin + Brand Bot lane verses a Blitzcrank, neither of which I thought would fair well.

My Bot lane fed so badly there was no chance of winning this game. Three deaths before I finished my first jungle clear. And it was just rinse and repeat thereafter. And of course no one would surrender. By my calculus we had a chance on this one if we came out even or ahead in the early game, but not a good chance if we were behind. Nasus went straight for Trinity Force instead of buying any MR against Mordekaiser and a freaking Diana jungle. And so all the work I did to help get him ahead came to not. Heimner and I killed Swain a couple of times. But Bot lane was a lost cause. Go help Bot Jarvan. WTF I'll die and just feed them another kill. And of course as soon as I do rotate to Bot lane they managed to kill Caitlyn on their own when she got over confident and got CCd by Lux. I think she still killed Jinx in the process.

This game my laners held up pretty well despite the fact that Bot lane was hating Fizz but they were trading kills for the most part rather than just giving away kills. I shaded Bot side since it was sort of even and I figured Fizz could run rampant if left unchecked. I still helped out my other lanes too. Nasus and I took Rift Herald and then survived a dive by Akali and Vladimir with enough health left over to use it to punch through two towers and do some damage on a third. Nasus Teleported or rotated Bot lane after that and we took their Bot turret and then picked up some more kills so we were threatening the next tower in line with an Infernal Drake on the menu after that. At that point their team called it quits. Zac seems to be working for me when I can get him.

But yeegads, I've had some of the most god awaful games when I've tried to play Jarvan IV who is also statistically good, but my teams when I've played him have not been up to snuff.
