Too true, I see more and more new champions being played every day and less and less old champions. Poor Annie T__T

Why can they not put the stats close to the standard and reduce one stat if they make another one more powerful? None of the above have any weak stats to make up for their insanely high ones.

Because then they won't sell, and Riot wants their money.

It's very simple Searz.

New champs OP off the bat = more people will buy RP to get them when they're still OP.

How did you not realize this?

yyyyyyyomp.

Starting strong and nerfing works better in quite literally every imaginable outlet for their business, and I think for their game as well.

I'd rather champs start off too good and get toned down than start off to weak and get powered up.

i agree with duff. last time we had a champion that was too weak on start got super buffed. and then nerfed.

while yes i would prefer that they started balanced, starting op and then nerf works better than starting weak.

They will be OP when they get buffed from UP anyway, just look at Yorick or Lee Sin who went from UP to gamebreaking OP(Damn I still have nightmares from the Yorick OP time).

Also people just have a better mental image forever when the champ starts out strong and fun.

People STILL don't play Yorick very much, even though he's a solid champion.

There's plenty of examples of that as well :P
