+1 Fantastic analysis of Vi's synergies. I like what you've done here.
What are your thoughts on Maw of Malmortius and Mercurial Scimitar for Vi? The scimitar would give you a cc-breaker and MS to prevent kiting when your ult is down... I don't know if this is good thinking, as I have not played Vi, but I wanted to throw it out here and see what you think.
Have you thought of writing your own Vi guide and more than just a rant and synergy analysis? I think you would do a great job of it, since you have very sound reasoning and what seems to me to be a very solid understanding of the game...
Anyway, Great job, and good luck! Regards,
Teyso
P.S. sorry I haven't gotten to your Yorick guide yet, I have been dealing with family and friends for the holidays and have not had much time to sit down at my computer and review. Review will be coming soon :) By the end of Saturday the 5th at the very latest (I know for sure I have downtime then).
Thanks!
I like Maw of Malmortius more because it has a more flexible build path AND it gives a SHIELD, and we're already gearing ourselves towards our passive shield. This means we will already have built MR to make the shield of Maw stronger.
In my opinion, Mercurial Scimitiar is good if you're getting focused, aka if you're carrying (or the enemies are tards, lol.) - Otherwise it's an ADC item for me.
I would make my own Vi guide, but i don't get to her play her much - I play in a ranked team, and Vi is, frankly, not a very strong top. Good jungler.
And don't worry! I have my own review shop and i had the exact same issues :P You're doing it for free, so i have no complaints.

and to confirm one more thing (somewhat): in my experience Vault Breaker has a slight aoe on the "on champion hit" so it knocks back and applies Denting Blows on multiple targets if they are close enough. this is just my observation from regular games, not straight up tested.
A Zeal built into a Trinity Force would have been better than a Wit's End. Also don't like the AD runes, armor pen adds to her Denting Blows... You level Vault Breaker while having Denting Blows at lvl 1? Vault Breaker applies Denting Blows to every one you touch with it, they need to be lvl'd together.
this is the same guy who insisted on my guide that Denting Blows should be maxed first for some inexplicable reason.
leveling Q just gives so much more than leveling W.
yes, your q applies your w to anything you touch, but you stop "touching" stuff after hitting an enemy champion and your w is not exactly your farming tool for minions so your point is moot.
the only use Denting Blows has on minions is:
b) when jungling as a 1 point wonder 1st skill to take care of blue
also, armor pen. is weaker because you have armor shred in Black Cleaver and your Denting Blows so a few points of flat armor pen is inferior to raw damage.
also you seem insistant that Trinity Force is core on Vi, while it is very much not core. so much so, that i dont use it EVER on Vi and have faced 0 problems thus far. The slow from Frozen Mallet is just so much superior because you dont have to gamble for it.

Will you stop treating this as a full guide? The cheat-sheet was just "clickx18" for the skill sequence meng, the importance here is in the THEORY SECTION!
And how will Zeal be better than Wit's End if you need MR/magic damage?...
They don't NEED to be leveled together; It's your preference. Stating your opinions as if it's fact is a big no-no...
AD runes is simply for easier last hitting + Vi is weak early and really needs it.
I mainly jungle her, which my guide does not reflect, but the cheat-sheet was just made up on the spot without much thought, as the IMPORTANT PARTS HERE is in the THEORY section...
Yes, i know it is really good. But some people think this item is **** because it gives ap, although the passive is designed for ad champs. I was just saying that guys that are new to the game might think the same. While the Ap is kinda wasted, Vi profits very much from the rest of the stats, especially the passive. I just think he should explain that. (I even see guys at around lvl 30 saying that Iceborn Gauntlet is complete **** for melee ADs just because of the Ap in it..)
I COULD explain it. If this was actually a complete guide.
It's not, however, and for now i'd rather people exprimented and found out stuff on their own, until thing get settled and we start getting high-quality guides for Vi ;)
while the ap is somewhat wasted due to only Relentless Force having a 70% ap scaling, the item in itself is really good and gives an aoe slow.

Well, i just read through some Vi guides, trying to get some Ideas of how to play her if i buy her. (well, lack of IP makes me think about my choices lol) So when i read yours i thought "oh hey, this gives me actually some really good ideas"
I like that you are not claiming to know how to play Vi, since she just came out recently. In my opinion your listed item suggestions are pretty fitting to the kind of champ Vi should be played as. I am not quite sure if i prefer Iceborn Gauntlet over Frozen Mallet, since i like the idea of getting the phage proc from early on. But the passive of Iceborn Gauntlet just sounds so yummy on Vi.
Black Cleaver is in my opinion a really good item for her. I did not play her yet (although i am going to do so soonish) but saw her beeing played on some streams. (I know you cannot judge a champions best items by watching a pro player do.. stuff. But i liked how some items they used synergized with her.) But her Denting Blows+ Black Cleaver just sounds so f***ing unreal, pardon my french.
But after Iceborn Gauntlet or Frozen Heart + Black Cleaver i did not quite know what else to do on her. I heard she should be built rather tanky (well i guess that's like almost everything situation dependent), so i figured something like Runic Bullwark or Guardian Angel would be fitting and i see you share these thoughts.
Runes are clear to me, since you buy Cleaver there is no need of ArP.
What i wanted to suggest was trying out Blade of the Ruined King as as second offensive Item next to Cleaver. Since her Denting Blows (at least i thought i read something about this) makes use of lifesteal and the passive of Blade of the Ruined King also adds to her % damage i thought it would fit perfectly into her playstyle.. shredding tanks should be no problem, and the lifesteal should help to get even more sustain.
Also one thing: if you face problems in lane, like a high sustain enemy, i thought about maxing Relentless Force would be a good choice to farm and push the lane. Just a thought, idk tho.
But hey, that's just my two cents. I did not try her out yet, but i just felt about commenting. Oh well, maybe it's just some ******** :/
Anyways, thanks for creating the guide and trying to help.
Although you do still try her out you should add more information about how you "normally" begin or what you think is rly important on her. Just for the guys that are new to the game and have actually no idea why the heck they should buy an "ap item" like Iceborn Gauntlet (a friend who just started actually said that to me) on her.. or w/e.
(sry for bad grammar or lack of knowledge, english is not my mother tongue)
See ya around. Will comment another time or maybe PN you when i finally tried her out.
Oh, and Merry Christmas!
I meant that you should get more picture like coding or more colours.
Oh, and if you really want to answer everyones question, use a FAQ section or something so people can look up the answers of the questions already asked.
Anyway, PM me when done :D

This is just a small rant, nothing big. I don't feel like spending too much time on this. People who really care about what i'm writing will read the text even if it's mostly just... text.
I don't see any reason to go flambouyant with color just because i can... i prefer mostly white text, and that's how i write my stuff as well.
I will probably take this guide down sometime soon, when we start getting some proper Vi guides.
I don't see any reason to write an FAQ on something as small as this :p
I will write an FAQ on my Yorick guide, however, once the discussion gets going.
What do you mean coding in it? There is coding in my small theory section...
First of all, never answer your comments with a comment in the discussion. If you do it with a comment, people will not know you have replied.
Second of all, coding is more than just Peanut, coding is also color or a
