Worthless guides more visible than quality ones...

I really enjoyed writing it and love the fact that my work is influencing the way thousands of people are playing League of Legends. My problem is that it will now lose views because SP GUEST and HIGH ELO guides (with much lower ratings) are more visible than my own. I wouldn't be that upset if the guides were [i]good[/i], but there is very little work put into either of them, and they would not be able to help a player new to the champion whatsoever (defeating a large purpose of the guide). I'm assuming that the main way people come across my guide is by typing something like "Nunu jungle season 3" into [color=#0080ff]G[/color][color=#ff0000]o[/color][color=#ffff00]o[/color][color=#0080ff]g[/color][color=#00ff00]l[/color][color=#ff0000]e[/color]. When that query is entered, the first guide that pops up is an expired one with a 68% approval rating. Obviously the user would then look to the right to the sidebar presented the four top guides for [[nunu]]. For quite some time I was right there, easily located "Nunu Jungle - A Beast in the Bushes." But now [color=#00ff00]luigidragon's[/color] and [color=#00ff00]oj07's[/color] guides have booted me out. It is apparent to me that they really don't have the motivation that I did to make a quality guide. Let me mention that I have respect for their League play, anybody who can get to that tier has commitment to the game for sure. Hats of to them for their skill. All I'm trying to say here is that it's really ridiculous that these low-quality guides are a lot easier to access than the higher quality guides that are available. I hope that changes to this system will be made soon, and people can go back to using [color=#ff8000]Moba[/color][color=#ffff00]Fire[/color] as intended: learning how to play a champion. I get the point of it, but practically speaking i'd say it's been a pretty big failure, mainly because there's no monitoring and these garbage guides get to 'featured' status just based on the elo of the author rather than the actual quality of guide. Perhaps if you gave editor's or scouts the power to remove them from 'featured status' if they weren't good, or only made them 'featured' upon hitting something like 75% (or whatever number) then the system might work. But ya I agree with you, for the most part the "high elo featured guides" has been a complete failure[/quote]
